Its not very difficult for me. Id go Magic, Jordan, Bird, Russell and Jabbar.

I will say as the years go on people really forget how great Larry Bird was, Bryant said. He was ridiculous. And I grew up in LA just like everyone else here hating his guts. Dude the guy was just money.

Russell was a twink, I'm skeptical how he would've have done in the 80s up til now.
Those Celtics team had the best players and there weren't many teams back then....

I would have removed Olajuwon....
-
Drexler should be up there.

He's in my top 10, my favorite player of all time! Got to sit on the floor of the Spectrum and watch his magic with the sixers in 1977! Met him several times the epitome of class/cool!

I'm a big Olajuwon fan but he is a guy who is remembered as being better than he actually was. This is largely because of the stat geek invasion that has taken place because of the internet. Hakeem was a very talented, very versatile player but he was not a dominant player. Michael Jordan retired and allowed Hakeem's Rockets to squeak by for a couple of titles. Olajuwon was not a dominating player night in and night out. His play was inconsistent. He would be a god one night and worth shit the next. He's better on paper than he was in the games.

Reggie Miller deserves to be in the top 5.

Reggie Miller deserves to be in the top 5.
Umm NO... NEVER Won a ring = automatically excludes him from this list...
"Hakeem the Dream" is actually underrated! Ask Shaq about him.... This guy was a proven winner! Did everything on both ends of the court!! and might I add.. HAD LONGEVITY! Very consistent throughout his career and proved himself in the finals!! Bringing an 8th seeded, injury plagued team to the finals and won it all!!!
-
Reggie is def a Top 50 player of all-time but has NEVER proven himself when the time mattered most. Exceptional player that was definitely one of the most dangerous clutch shooters.. Top 10 should be a list of closers who dominated the game...

Being guarded by Luc Longley largely in single coverage. ::)
-
You forget how he dominated David Robinson, Young Shaq, and Alonzo Mourning during their Primes!!! This was the true Big Man Era!! He used aesthetics and fundamentals of the game rather than just brute force!... AND HE COULD HIT FREE THROWS!

Maybe Jordan should of helped out on D ???
-
ronnie coleman

There's a good reason why Kobe and Lebron asked Hakeem to help solidify their Post(Back to the Basket) Game... Incredibly High BBall IQ and He was clutch several times in the playoffs and finals!

So did Patrick Ewing.....doesn't mean he goes on the list.
::)

Can't use that argument......that would be like saying what if Bill Walton would have stayed healthy.

Hakeem was better than Ewing and Ewing was a great player.
-
Hakeem was better than Ewing and Ewing was a great player.
Both were great.....but not top 10 all-time.
An argument could maybe be made for Elgin Baylor.
-

They played against short white guys, they wouldn't dominate now, well maybe Wilt would put up decent numbers. The game was rather new, the game has evolved since immensely.
-
Also regarding those Rocket teams, they seem to have luck on their side, they never were a dominate team.
The Sonics use to own them all the time.
94 Sonics choked big time, Rockets lucky they didn't face them again.
-
Stats dont lie.
Point - Magic
Shooting - Jordan
Small F - Bird
Power F - Malone
Center - Jabbar

You're correct. They were not a dominant team but had a dominant center on both ends of the court. No one could contain him. And he didn't choke during all those championships that he earned Finals MVP Side note. Those Knicks actually played better
as a team minus Ewing...both he and Starks cost them that series

Name another 5 that could take this lineup. Crickets.

Bill Russell instead of Malone for Defense since have Jabbar being more Offensive minded.. May even squeeze in Prime Duncan instead of Malone...Malone took too many defensive risks..excellent rebounder though..more brilliant w/ the assistance of Stockton
