say after 4 days beginning a new workout routine. you started out fresh now your getting into the nitty gritty. for me ive been squatting no weight 100 reps per day every day full squats with a calve raise at the top of each rep usually 60 in the morning then 40 at night. the first day i began this i did 150 reps and my legs have stayed fairly tight throughout and little sore in a good way.
lets say this is day 5 i got another 100 reps but this day im eating a shit ton more to repair than ever
now its day 6 soreness is pretty much wiped clean i feel stronger , im still going to eat a shit ton more like i did on day 5 because my body is putting it to good use, super fast recovery on high calories
i think around on day 10 ill start adding in pushups
day 20 ill add in some back work
still doing 100 bodyweight squats every day no matter what
this is how you build a good natural physique
by pushing yourself in a non injurous way allowing your body to slowly adjust to higher calories. not using too much weight to shock the body or injure
you want to push hard enough and keep track of that effort day in and day out. let time 'in the gym' do the talking, consistency. its all about accumulation of volume its now how strong you are on one 'great' lift with heavy weights
its about turning your body into a calorie burning machine. ive always training this way, never too heavy. but your muscles fill out better this way and you do get stronger , but your musles are able to handle more volume and less prone to injury

Interesting concept Johnny. Sounds as if staying with squats awhile will build endurance to add in other exercises down the road, will you try go higher than the 100 rep squats once you are doing the other exercises consistantly?

as of right now doing 100 full squats is basically maxing out for me on a daily total. sure i could do more but not comfortably
but who knows, of how many days CONSECUTIVELY of doing 100 squats 'it will take' to do 200 squats daily and 'comfortably' with the same effort as its taking me now to do 100

Sounds like you will stay with the 100 until these other exercises get added in then maybe go up on the squats is that the plan?

yes
in theory im trying out a good enough volume for me in hopes that this effort applied over time will result in some muscle gain and fatloss
maybe the muscles just 'give in ' and eventually grow with enough volume even though im not using weight. it might even take a full year of doing 100 per day, but i need to do them every day just to stay inshape and not throw out my back
my back will throw itself out if i take a few days off from lower body exercise, its very tempermental

Are you still mega-hydrating with H2O?
-
You've exhausted the hell out if your body, just rest for a day just laying around hydrating and eating clean, then the next day u will be fresh
-
Are you still mega-hydrating with H2O?
its hard to stay ultra hydrated when eating alot
everything becomes a chore, eating more and drinking more i find it doesnt matter as much being very hydrated when already eating a ton and training alot because our stomach is too full to handle much more water
-

taking it easy sets me up to throw out my back for a few days unfortunatly. but i think you have the right mind frame about it. if its just one day doing what you suggest thats probably perfect for the body i bet it would shed fat and keep the muscle , provided that one day i lowerd calories dramatically ? it probably wouldnt hurt if i fully rehydrate because i cant drink but so much water eating and training alot my body craves calories more than water in order to keep going. water makes me relaxed for relaxing not working hard
its like im trapped into working out, or else . it kinda sucks but then again its kinda cool knowing i have to workout. because i really hate when my lower back goes out an have trouble walking for a couple days but then the pain goes completley away by the 4th. i can still do squats even with a thrown out back but manual labor and painting become a fucking bitch with a bad back
-
This sounds like it can very time consuming after a while.
I imagine a lot of prisoners follow a routine like this. However, they have all day to do endless, primarily bodyweight, routines.
it can take me about 12-15 minites to do 60 good deep squats every morning then finish up 40 in the evening wich dont take that long

Johnny, do you think you will be adding a few reps every few days or just go from 100-200 overnight when the 100 is extremely easy.

no im not going to add a few reps everyday
im going over technical possibilites and potential timelines for something maracoulous to just happen from so many consecutive days of 100 reps
its not all wishful thinking but it is taking shots in the dark , and with all the people not trying this i maybe the one to find out something great with this method
at the very least i can be cosistent with 100 reps a day.. i just find it hard to beleive that my body wont get stronger all of a sudden eventually where im like fuck it i can bang out 200
its like water in a glass going to just about full everyday then evaporating and filling up the next day. the glass never quite over flows ( lets call this overflowing new muscle growth). so as time goes on the same thing happens the glass fills up then evaporates. then one day the glass over flows wich is new muscle growth , no one can really explain why but it just does. and wahllah!

The above is my method to go about explaining the unexplainable. the unexplainable is what we want to under stand correct? well we must relate it to something that we do understand in order to get some where with it the figuring out of something unexplainable must be approached somehow, we have alot of time for goodness sakes to think in parables about it. no need to scurry for destructive solutions, wait and think patientiently for optimal solutions. take small jabs at the problem no point in throwing risky haymakers

ive always had a firm beleif in that the hardest worker will reach his/her goal.
its just not concievable of a less harder worker reaching a workout goal faster
its like saying ill just do 100 reps 3 times a week and expect to do 200 reps 3 times a week in 25 weeks
compared to
doing 100 reps ever day and i expect to do 200 reps per day in 25 weeks

i trained hard 23 fucking days in a row homeslice and i finally took a day off on the 24th day
and i've gained nearly 6 pounds during this time with a good 4 of those pounds being pure lean muscle tissue 8)

Superdrol is a helluva drug bro.
-
seems like excellent results, finally a strategy to force more lean muscle growth without having to recover several days from low reps.
so we are squatting every day as a base and then adding other exercises as we go along? push ups are every day too?

Chiro, are you saying that dj181 doesn't leave the house on a windy day?

Cyp, my European camrade, what I'm implying is that DJ692's gym now lets him park in the front handicapped spot because they were under the impression that he was a victim of Polio after he wore a pair of shorts on a hot day.

so 10 mg 5 days per week is a big dose ??? ??? ???

lol
but when i hit the bench and press 250 weighing under a buck 60 with a full 2 second pause at the chest they are duly impressed ;)

Hahaha yes Chiro, when he walked through the full body x-ray scanners at the airport, they arrested him for levitating through customs.

No one is denying you would out bench the legendary Cswol brother!

Lol, no joke yesterday as I was getting ready to leave the office, I switched off my PC and the tab came up saying "Windows is shutting down" I laughed to myself imagining the enigma himself towering over the poor 12" Dell, exuding manliness ;D

;D ;D ;D
and i could could probably out squat him too
seeing as my TOP squat is bout 200 lol
but i do these squats with the bar high on the traps and torso erect and squat down well past parallel
not half squats for the djer ;D

Yes reminds me of the time Cswol was arrested for arson several years back. Apparently he tried pouring gasoline on the dumbell rack and lighting them on fire after a very intense bicep workout, yelling "CSWOL TAKES NO PRISONERS ALIVE!!!"

Good man! You've now gained back half my respect, killer. 8)

Have you considered making a thread entitled "Things I am desperate to tell others", then you could freely post these mighty feats, without very thinly veiled posts in other peoples threads?

Did you guys hear that ???? Listen very closely.....

Diet's going well dj, I am at the classic 9% wall, heading to 8%. What I find is that no matter the calorie deficit at this point, something HAS to give in the diet to push through that wall for me - don't know why. I'm still on 1800-900 a day kcals MAX, but I always have to drop any treats etc at this point. Hopefully I'll be 7-8% in a few weeks.

i wont add any other exercise until im really comfortable with 100 rep squats right now 100 per day is all i really feel like doing im looking leaner. upper body lost a little size but leaner since not training it but quads are already showing the split and looking better down to 303 this morning
-
i feel much more agile on my feet. extra calories get out the soreness. its tempting to just rep out with pushups rather than squats because training upper body is MUCH easier.
