No.  What I do isn't valuable enough to justify a remote controlled drone, and it couldn't do it without a human controller since reason isn't possible without sentience.  I don't believe AI will ever be more than lots of programmed responses.

You are right in a sense that software can learn autonomously and doing that it essentially programs itself.
