Title: Oktoberfest

I'm watching some clips on YouTube now, and from the looks of it, it's nothing but drunken Americans/tourists. Is this what it is? Are there any other beer fests in Germany worth going to, or is Oktoberfest really cool, and I'm just looking a it from the wrong point of view?  Thanks.

If you want Oktoberfest without having to fly overseas, try Helen, GA.  We vacation there twice a year.

I went to Munich 3 years ago for Oktoberfest , it was pretty fucking awesome!


think of it as A state Fair , plus big tents of drunk fucks and endless beer

Lots of foreigners but lots of Germans too. Very Bavarian (ie - south east Germany) celebration.

Where I live there is something else but it still amounts to the same thing - a huge piss up.

My friends who went to Munich last year said it was a very mixed crowd.
