Yes it would be.  However, if the death was sudden it would be a perfectly reasonable excuse that you couldn't get off work.  The king has decree it so!

No I had one to die this year the funeral was 3 hours away I did not go, now if closer to my town I would have.

because the fat bitch i asked to replace me refused

and then they said, well why dont you come in the morning, do a ton of work real fast

then go to the funeral briefly

then come back


the whole thing would take a billion mile drive by the way
