Title: The Next Phase of the Zimmerpig / Tray Tray Saga
Post by: syntaxmachine on July 17, 2013, 10:26:27 PM
The battle for the fat Mexicant's soul is not yet over, brothers and sisters. Here are the next actual and potential fronts in the "War on Zimmerpig," sorted descendingly by their probability of occurrence:

1. Further damage to Jorge's reputation. The media will continue to cast aspersions on Jorge's character, infamousizing him (to invent a term) and damaging any prospects for future employment. The ideational realm will thus be seized by Team Tray Tray with little hope for a counterattack from Team Zimmerpig.

2. A private negligent homicide case against Jorge. As I understand things, Jorge is not immune to further prosecution; in this context he would have only acquired immunity if he had opted for a 'Stand Your Ground' hearing in front of a judge instead of going in front of a jury. In that instance, the burden of proof would have been on him to prove that he acted in self-defense. He opted to go in front of a trial where the burden of proof would be shifted to the State to prove that he didn't act self-defensively; thus, this tactical move was made at the expense of his acquiring immunity. Consequently, Tray Tray's progenitors may file a private suit in Florida, in which case they need only prove with x > 50% confidence that Zimmerpig acted negligently. Result: a large settlement for the neeguls that Zimmerpig will never pay off in full.

3. A federal civil rights case against Jorge. The NAACP is in the midst of filing a civil rights case against Jorge with the Justice Department. However, Attorney General Eric Holder has indicated that the government is unlikely to file such charges, given the unlikelihood of demonstrating that Jorge violated Tray Tray's civil rights, i.e., killed him because he was a son of Ham (he was just deemed to have had no intent to kill him at all, let alone any intent to kill him due to his being a son of Ham). The Justice Department already had an investigation open on the case from last year; in all likelihood, it will consider evidence from the trial in a cursory manner and then conclude within the next two years, no charges filed. This front is secure for Team Zimmerpig.

It seems, then, that Jorge is to have his reputation permanently stained, his future employment prospects sunk beyond measure, and to get slapped with a large pecuniary burden that will haunt him forever more. Perhaps Team Tray Tray has won the war after all.
