The host is a complete buffoon. Why does it seem characteristic of conservatives to lack flexible thinking? She could not possibly conceive of a reason why a muslim would study the christian religion, even when it was spelled out to her multiple times :-\ To add to that, allowing that dumbass question from the viewer was beyond pathetic.

I do not understand why she cannot comprehend that he has a PhD in RELIGION!! RELIGION!! He does not have a PhD in Muslim studies. He has a PhD in RELIGION, which means he probably has studied numerous different religions.
What is so difficult to understand about that? :-\ :-\

Reminds me of the following nasrudin joke:
The Mullah's neighbor wanted to borrow his cloth-line. Nasrudin said 'Sorry, I'm using it'. Drying flour!'
The neighbor said, 'How on earth can you dry flour on a clothes-line?'
Mullah replied, 'It is less difficult than you think when you do not want to lend it!'

Wow...

Reza's interview on NPR was much better:
He has an interesting conversion story. He grew up muslim, but converted to evangelical christianity at the age of 15 after coming to america at the age of 7. He eventually moved away from christianity after his academic study of the bible and christian history.

Interesting interview, thanks. I like his fact/truth dichotomy argument.

He's just having a hard time discussing with someone whose IQ is 1/3 of his obviously.

Someone with his intellect could have taken the high road and tap danced around her in more interesting ways than monotonous repetition.
