Didn't realize this was a strength contest. Enlighten me.

Hes a bodybuilder not a weightlifter.

Hes a bodybuilder not a weightlifter.
bodybuilders do not lift weights ???
-
bodybuilders do not lift weights ???
Poundages matter not a jot, as I said, hes a bodybuilder not a weightlifter, if he can be Mr Olympia doing pushups why should he be benching 500lb?
-
fuuuck those 'rock jams' in the background are unbearable
who records, and more importantly, listens to that crap ??? ??? ???
-
As I said Nails...you don't understand bodybuilding
I looked great and benched 50 lbs drum bells for 15 reps
I looked worse and benched 405 for a triple on YouTube
As I said...you clearly do not get it
-
Wasnt ronnie benching 200 pound dumbbells in contest shape? :-X :-X

Yes, but strength doesn't correlate with size in all instances.

Maybe they will add that like they added the Challenge Round a few years back
::)
Then, Kai will win the Olympia. For sure.
-
And Shawn Ray was putting up 150s on incline bench, after making a comment about Fux and Dillett messing around with 100 pound dumbbells.
-
Heath has so much more of a cool look than Kai. Don't know why he catches so much shit on here. Then there is the other stuff. Phil is a good "narrow" BB. These guys would post on here if you guys weren't pricks. No, they wouldn't tell you everything about dosages and all that. Stupid to do. The times of guys like Prince and Titus bringing the fight to the floor are over.
Why does Heath constantly get bashed? He has a cool look if you wanna walk around breathing hard.
-

One would think Dillet would be far stronger than Ray...

This.

hes a weak man
-
He should use miniature machines in photo shoots to look like a normal bodybuilder.
Phil can never be Mr gym shot olympia because there are no white lines drawn on the floors of gyms

Haha!!!

Hinds is a great photographer for fitness, figure etc. but his videos could be much better. Flex mag seems stuck in 2008 with their site, when 1080 is now the standard for high quality, they make 480p videos. And those annoying ads at the start of each video..seriously..do they really need to monetize like that?
-
Yes, but strength doesn't correlate with size in all instances.
Clearly it does with Phil because hes small for a Mr. O

let's see
ronnie coleman= strongest man who ever lived + most muscular man who ever lived

Thank you! Exactly.

Worst Mr O ever.

Chatting to the camera between sets.
Wouldnt happen here
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwkrgOg6M0k)
Dorians training partners sweatshirt changes during the back workout, thats because Kevin Hortons camera ran out of film during the workout and he asked them to do some of the back workout again to finish the film.
Dorian said, "no come back next week when we are doing back again and film it then"

dorian was intense ... serious, masculine stoic... you could tell he was all business in the gym.... thats inspiring..
phil heath just comes accross as soft to me.... his training is soft...
that been said he does look good onstage i cant fault him there...

Six plates on that machine is no joke, even as a permabulker pler I could only do a couple of reps with five and he made it look easy.
Strong guy

yea, this.
He's not Ronnie obviously, but 6 plates/side on HS incline is far from common

I think Phil Heath purposes doesn't overdo it, he has talked about not wanting to be injured in the past, so why go all ronnie Coleman with the weights? We saw what he could do during the Bench Press contest, and he has said before he became Mr. O that he wanted to see how big he could get his arms...I think what works for him, works for him...Ronnie and Dorian both had training injuries, that hurt their chances to keep their titles. I think Phil is trying to avoid that.
-

You're just jealous because no one will suck your dick even for the money.. ;D
-
If you've ever seen Phil train in person I don't think small is a word you would ever again use to describe him.
It's funny too. That one kid picked a bad day to wear his wife beater to the gym!
-
Well...
his barbel curl techinique is ego lifting
he uses back muscles to pull his elbows backwards and shorten the leverage of his forearm to the center of gravity
-

CSWOL can do 15 reps with 6 plates aside and that's just his warm up...

Strong guy
It's not light ... But it's not ridiculously hard
Also depends on the machine... I've done 6 plates for a couple 3 excersices in last set of 4..
But like I said can't fault Phil.. He's never been totally off on stage ... Never a bad showing always brings it. Which is what matters in bodybuilding

Agreed brotha,
Shawn Ray said it best, in the battle for the O 2000, when it was competion time most bodybuilders are NOT Ronnie Coleman, Levrone, Yates. He goes on to say, he was there for the longevity, and lists the many injuries, that his fellow competitors succumb too.
I am always in awe when I watch Ronnie's unbelievable, (what was he 5-4 weeks out?!?!) and also, feel spoiled, because that has been the mentality of many people, for the past 13 years, and I look at Ronnie now and sure he has 8 sandow trophies, but I sure as hell would not want/wish any of his injuries he incurred, to myself or anyone else for the matter. (Branch comes to mind)
On a training note, Phil rep all that stuff with ease.

phil reminds me of flex wheeler's training
weak, lazy, no intensity
just like Flex,a genetically gifted super responder to steroids

I gather that you didn't watch the video, and haven't seen his Bench Press Contest vid...and I guess you forgot how Charles glass himself had to tell Flex to back off of the heavy training.
-
Some crazy strong guys on this board. It's pre contest and he did flies prior to dumbbell pressing. If I pre exhaust with flies I can't bench anything.
-
Bodybuilding died when he became mr O

fixed.

guys on here confuse intensity with balling. flex intensity fell off when his kidneys declined but at the point he was sick anyway. phil's workouts are similar to jay's, just enough poundage to hit the muscle and get max reps. as noted, phil just has better response to gear. i'm not sure to this date where people come up with genetics and bbing. if he had genetics, he would have been in the nba. i guess gear response equals genetics in the World of Men in Thongs.

Current and reigning Mr. Olympia - no stopping him this year
-
I like his head phone. They seem wireless too.
Any one knows what brand is this?

when nothing will change i can only consider these "top" bbing shows like mr o a joke.

I have done my search. The wireless headphones Phil is using are Parrot Zik, claimed to be the most advanced headphones available today. Very good choice.
First time I feel impressed with a gadget used by Mr. Olympia (excluding the Bently of course)
I am ordering mine today, they have very sleek design, noise cancellation, and top notch technology. It's about $400 peace but I think it's worth it.
Check them out here,

This is The Zik web site:

We live in a society where a book costs 15$ and nobody's intrested while you think a 400$ pair of headphones is worth it.

It's is not about how rich you are, I spare no expenses and always think of money as not an issue.
Maybe you should read the secret. It makes a few good points, and change your perspective about money!

Gunter had a great physique, and a good attitude with the fans. Surprised he didn't win more shows or go further in the industry . . .

My brother sells pro audio, these headphones are garbage. You are paying 350 bucks too much for that crap ( same as beats by dre).
