Title: Obama Administration Doing At Least One Thing Right

U.S.-led sanctions against Iran are gradually atomizing the Ayatollah's crackpot regime, which is ironic given its obsession with acquiring an atom bomb: Iran faces 28% youth unemployment, 40%+ inflation, a currency which is only half as valuable as its new year mint, thousands of businesses closing down, 50%+ of the population indicating increasing unrest in a recent Gallup poll, a shrinking economy, an increasingly neglected energy sector, and even more punishing sanctions on the way [1]. The Obama Administration has succeeded in implementing a recipe for eventual regime change in Iran at very little cost to the United States.

Add to this the successful winding up of the Iraq War, the establishment of that country as a long-term base for counterterrorist operations (perhaps including stationing drones there in the near future), the death of OBL, the hundeds of Al Aqeda operatives who have been delivered by drone to Allah with no American lives put at risk, the inexpensive removal of Qaddafi, the establishment of an indeterminately long stalemate in the Syrian Civil War (the best outcome for the U.S. and Israel) in which Hezbollah and Al Qaeda are literally eating each others' hearts out (lovely, lovely people), and the diligent maintenance of our most essential relationships in the region (Israel and the GCC), and I think it's fair to say the Obama Administration has engineered a successful foreign policy in the MENA region.

Report: Obama Offered To Ease Sanctions On Iran In Message To New President

Iran will not give up “one iota” of its nuclear rights, Iranian President Hassan Rohani said in a speech to clerics, Mehr news agency reported on Tuesday.

Rohani’s comments come ahead of a meeting in New York later in the month between his foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on restarting negotiations over the Islamic republic’s nuclear program. [...]

Rohani said soon after his election as president in June that he wanted to hold “serious” talks “without wasting time” on Iran’s nuclear file, while maintaining Iran’s “undeniable rights” to its nuclear program.

Meanwhile, the London-based Arabic-language al-Hayat newspaper reported that US President Barack Obama relayed an appeasing message to Iranian President Rohani recently in a bid to turn over a new leaf in the relations between the two countries.

According to the report, in his message to Rohani through Oman ruler Qaboos bin Said al-Said, Obama said the US was willing to ease the economic sanctions on Iran and advance negotiations on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
