The odds of Clinton winning the White House are (in my opinion) less than minuscule; in fact, it's way more likely that pigs will fly. She may get her party's nomination, but to be honest, I would put the odds of that at less than 50%.

No, no insider knowledge or anything of the sort. I just can't see what Hillary Clinton has to offer as a candidate now – her time (if there ever was a time) was in 2008. As it stands, in 2016 she will be almost 70 years old, she carries a lot of baggage from Benghazi (whether you think she's responsible or not is another topic), will be forever associated with Obama (who, right now at least, is a toxic brand; history can judge him differently in due time, but even then, I would venture he'd come out as a mediocre President at best, more known for the color of his skin than the content of his character or his accomplishments) and, lastly, I think that the American people want someone who isn't a smooth political operator with a career in the halls of power in Washington.
More importantly, perhaps, I think that she doesn't want to lose. And she knows that she would face an uphill battle to win the general election even if she did coast to the nomination. Frankly, I think she knows that it will be a challenge for the Democrats to win the White House after eight years of Obama; now couple that with the ever so slight rightward shift in the demographics.
Now, whatever else you care to say about Hillary, I think you'd agree that she's smart and politically shrewd. And I think that she sees the writing on the wall better than most.
Of course, a lot will depend on who the Republicans nominate too. If they put up some more self-destructing candidates like Bachmann, Perry or Santorum – people so far removed from reality – who knows what could happen? I'd like to think that even if nominated none of those people could actually win the Presidency because the electorate would see through them. But perhaps my faith in the electorate is misplaced.
Either way, I don't think that predicting the outcome of political fights before the bell rings is really wise and o guess I should refrain from doing that. But with things as they are now, I don't think Hillary could win the nomination or the election.
But 2016 is a long ways off and who knows what will happen between now and then? Any predictions at this point are like a weather forecast for the summer of 2016. Generalities rule and speculation is rampant. All Incan say for sure is that it will another polarizing election, with allegation of fraud, rampant mud-slinging, record spending on ads, plenty of social media campaigns, and the candidates playing to their base while pretending to be centrists.

I didn't have the heart to tell him "dude, she has to donate that... everyone takes gifts, it's insulting to decline, and they'll end up nat'l archive".
