Title: 2013 Olympia - Dave Palumbo picks Jay Cutler to win the O
Post by: Ron on September 05, 2013, 10:27:21 PM

In an article that Palumbo wrote, I find it amusing that Dave Palumbo choose Jay Cutler to win the Olympia over Phil Heath, Kai Greene and Shawn Rhoden. Perhaps Dave is wiser than all of us or is looking into the crystal ball (he is using Lonnie Teper's right now) in predicting that a 40 years old Cutler can be the best in the world.

Hey, we all thought that Ronnie Coleman could not come back, but he did... so anything can happen...

Like Ronnie, Jay will comeback to a 4th place check.

Jay has nothing more to prove. He had already made a comeback beating martinez back in the day. Llooking at the current lineup, a top 5 finish would be VERY GOOD for him.

If it's a tie with Phil, I think Jay will be given the title.  Kinda like, a parting gift, and they know Phil can win 4 more without blinking.

Was this article written a few weeks ago, before the new video of smaller Jay emerged?

all i hope for jay is that he will indeed bring his best 'package', god-like conditioning and prove all the haters wrong

a top5 placing and a classy exit would be the icing on the fridge cake

also i really hope that they won't screw over anyone who's the true winner that day, be it kai, rami, phil... doesn't matter as long as it's 100 % fair

This! Since he is denied access to the show!

Cutler is all gossip this year. 5th at best. Even Dextrose can beat him this year.

What do you mean, even Dextrose. Dexter is better than Jay. I don't care if Jay has 10 Os.

Dexter is good, but boring as hell, and comes with the very same physique years after years. Plus he's a midget. He should have competed in the 202/212 lbs category. Aesthetic physique nonetheless, but he will never have what it's needed to give the big boys a run for their money.

Jay won't win the Olympia - Phil and Kai are practically in another league now. They'll put him either third or fourth.

Prediction

I got Palumbo winning the dead pool with straight 1st this year...Derek Anthony will almost beat him in the kidney round but fade at the night show for 2nd place. Derek could have won the show but got marked down for excessive liver spots...

How often does the judging panel change for the Olympia?

Perhaps they should bring in a random person who has never heard of any of the names at the Olympia, yet is knowledgable on anatomy and physique.

This might balance out the politics a bit.

i'm getting a little tired of the Jay haters.   He's a 4-time champion... picking against him to win it is the ULTIMATE in disrepect!

Enough with the sarcasm! In your expert opinion, where will Jay place?

Yes, Jay should take this approach - like the evil Superman in Superman III. He'd have the entire crowd behind him if he did that.

If Jay does do the show, how many bodyguards will he show up with?

Hopefully he brings a big, tight package, his glutes are not soft and watery and the ice machine is full next to room 7.

Singerman was claiming he's locked out of the O
No press passes
No play by play
No wrap up

Less access than a common criminal...uhhh

Dave doesn't have a really good record of picking winners even when he is at the shows.

maybe the organizers caught wind of his medical reports and declared him unfit for press duty?
