HIV which sometimes becomes AIDS is a virus. Drug use is an illness, but not a virus. So no, you wouldn't test positive for AIDS. There are however many reasons someone can suffer from immune deficiencies. Drugs which treat cancer can cause immune deficiency which can also kill you.

I cannot explain this. Could it be that because nothing much has changed in the world of HIV that the media feels they have nothing to report. There is still no cure and the big drug companies are still making a fortune off the virus. Hmm. I am not one for conspiracy theories but greed is a powerful motivator. There is probably more money in people being sick with HIV an AIDS then there is in curing it.
As long as idiots continue to think of HIV as a "gay" disease, there will be folks who believe catching the often deadly virus is "just deserts" for a life ill spent. Since Black Africans continue to be the hardest hit with HIV and since most of the western world gives a shit about Black Africans or Africa in general the push to cure or find a preventative inoculation for HIV is probably on a back burner.
Unfortunately from what one does read, the lack of media attention has deluded some folks into thinking HIV is no longer a problem. There are those uninformed folks who have reengaged in unsafe sex practices as a result.

I'd be lying if I said I knew, because I really have no idea. It seems possible that it could have been both. When one's immune system is compromised aren't they more prone to infections?
I am pretty vain and yet I cannot imagine having a pectoral implant or a calf implant, etc. It really seems to push the vanity thing a bit too far. I did have blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery several years ago to correct baggy eyelids. My wife thought that was beyond vain. I have enjoyed the improvement it made in my appearance and thus have had no regrets. People thought I was tired all the time when I wasn't.

Can't really think about that right now. I am off my feet (almost literally) for the next month. I had arthroscopic surgery for a torn meniscus last Friday. As it turned out, the doctor ended up doing microfracture surgery, necessitating that I be on crutches for a month. It is going to be awhile before I hit the gym. A better man than me would work around this little hiccup, I like to be "all in" when I hit the gym.
To be honest, I am passed the time or age when having great pecs is of much importance. I am younger than Arnold S. and judging from some of the photos floating around the Internet of him shirtless, my pecs look better than his. Who would have thought that would ever be the case?

Several times I have had to get tested. It is not a fun experience by any means. And there is still alot of ignorance and fear surrounding HIV even in the medical field. The rapid result test saves alot of stress.
