A man vacationing in St Petersburg, Russia is swarmed by a group of strangers and then is robbed of his camera lens.  Never display your valuables when traveling in any country.

A huge SLR camera hanging from your neck is the best signal for thieves to notice you. I had to deal with this shit twice in Paris.. Good for me that I was huge and had a pink eye to add to the terror.

Best thing os to get one of the camera backpacks where the opening id against your back...im going to buy one for my 5d2 next time im on vacation

I always carry my camera sealed in a camera bag while it is padlocked, when traveling throughout the city.
