In my 25 years of promoting the biggest standouts are.........
Gary Strydom 1988 at 128kgs
Lou Ferrigno 10 weeks before his comeback show at 330lbs
Dorian Yates a week after winning his first Olympia
Ronnie Coleman 2005, 2 weeks after Olympia
I will think of some more and maybe dig up some pics.
-
Oops this thread is for very gay individuals, time to go.
-
Gotta agree with TK and TD- saw 'em all except Pearson and would add Gary Lewer - smallest waist besides Buchanan

Gary still trains at one of my Melbourne gyms and at over 50 is still in incredible shape. Unbelievable really. Trains a couple of days a week and looks like he is only about 6-8 weeks out of contest shape.

True, a very nice person. He guest posed at one my contests once, full muscle bellies in every bodypart.

-
never seen a live guest posing. have no plans to see a live guest posing.
-
Dave Palumbo at a small local show in 97. Just for sheer freakiness and size when he was pushing 300lbs. When he walked through the crowd, the big bottom hoochie mommas were all over him.... almost started to look like a bachlorette party.

Yeah, Gary was good I would say after John Terilli the 2nd best Australian BB (can't stand Newcastle midget)
Charlie Ducca was good too.
-
Only guest posings I've ever seen were Ernie Taylor and Flex Lewis. Can't remember what years though.

Ok, not to go completely off track but the worst guest poser ever was Larry Bernstein ( I know this is a different century). The fattest poser I've ever seen. Looked like he'd swallowed a keg!
-
Yates
-
Easy one......Kevin Levrone!!!! One year Dexter and I went to the southern states and Kevin was the guest poser, he walked up to us all 205-10lbs looking like a young schoolboy, 4 months later he takes second to Ronnie at the Olympia....I can promise you this, if he would've won that year a lot of people would've been ok with that. Incredible response to AAS!!!!

Tom Platz in 83 at the british champs,he had been out of the gym all year after his biceps surgery so no-one expected him to be the guest poser, then after 8 weeks back in the gym he shows up like this (starts at the 7 min mark).
-
Gustavo Baddell was certainly the worst I would say

art flatwood

Ronnie Coleman in 1996.....unreal........a lso witnessed Vince Taylor guest pose at the Junior Nationals back in 2001.....absolutely blew my mind!!

Paul Dillett 9wks out from his NOC win in '99.
freakiest thing i'd ever seen.
-
Markus Rühl @ Best of the Best Championship in Germany... 2004 I think it was... or 2002? Not sure but he dwarfed everyone on stage and looked just cartoonish..
-
Saw Sergio Oliva guest pose in South Florida think it was 1986. I will never forget that! Have seen Nasser, Cutler, Levrone, Dexter, and others. Sergio takes the fucking cake!
-
yeh,, marcus ruhl at one of kerry kays manchester efbb qualifiers,,,, him and his lass were unreal, ruhl in his denim jacket was a sight to behold in its self
-
Yates
I was going to say Yates as well. He was 305 at a show in Boston that Anthony D'arezzo won. D'arezzo was so ridiculously better than anyone in the show, and dwarfed everyone.
Yates made him look like a school kid. Yates' smallest bodypart was his head - he litterally looked the size of a refridgerator.
Figured you might have been at that show.
-
I saw many of the 90's top pros guest pose. Late 90's Chad Nichols put on the Missouri Bodybilding Championships and Ronnie (320 lbs), Nasser (310 lbs), and Flex (260 lbs) all guest posed.
