Ah, just noticed the finished pins, it's a model #44. I loved playing with those things years ago. Nice to see someone carry one.

It's a beautifully made knife. Kinda overkill for the things I need a pocket knife for, but I still like it occasionally. I still have a few moves with it on the draw. Best to go for the LCP on case of trouble, tho.

Not at all. Just habit.

I might also add that EVERYBODY in this part of the country is mostly armed. My wife was out walking one of our dogs and she came across an older gent with his dog off leash. When he realized that our dog was going to make the off-leash thing troublesome, he improvised a leash with his gun belt, jamming his holstered roscoe in his pants. My wife was unfazed, as her .38 was in easy reach.

Not a lot of crime round these parts.

I just like good butterfly knives. I have a huge knife problem, especially Dozier fixed blades. I have a nasty habit of losing and then refinding folders every year or so. Had a really nice AG Russell lock back folder that I carried for years. The fuck if I know where it is now. Probably behind the couch or something.

The Benchmade will go back in the safe in a few weeks and something else will come out.

short those muni's!

equities have been pure gold the past few years.. check the VXX chart since '09.

i'd much rather trade a bear market than a bull. '08 was a special time.. shorting AIG and watching it drop from the 30's to the 10's, and hoping it was gonna go to zero (same with Citi, and a few others) was the best natural high I've had in a long, long time.

Actually, if you do a lot of heavy outdoor work a butterfly makes a lot of sense if you can't carry a fixed blade. On a good one you have to shear the two pivot pins, plus torque the knife out of your grip for it to fail. It really is super safe as far a folding knives go, certainly more so than a traditional rocker bar folder.

that's a 'last min' gun.. accurate enough at within 10feet for a center-mass shot.

fuck, if I had a dbl stk STI, I wouldn't conceal it anyway... i'd walk around with a thigh holster... at the gym!... in walmart... and especially when buying used cars on craigslist! haha.

"what do you MEAN you don't take $1500?! for this Denali?!!?... you wanna think that over, again?!"

home defense i'd rather have a 12ga with birdshot.. 1911 in 9mm in the glove box.. compact 9mm hk usp in my belt.

All solid choices. I sorta standardized on Glock for the time being after shooting Sigs for 2 decades. If Glock made a real pocket pistol (not the sub-compact bricks), I would carry that instead.
