I'm still recovering from shoulder problems from the beginning of the year, and the layoff pretty much killed what little strength I had.  I'm starting to see some gains again, but I'm still overall pretty weak.  315 on the deadlift, 185 on the squat, and 135 on incline barbell are where I'm pretty much stuck for the time being.  It doesn't help that I've been sick a lot and that I'm in the process of moving halfway across the country, but I'm patient.  I'm starting to get my diet back on track and up to about 3,500-4,000 calories a day, so hopefully I'll see some improvement from that.

After being off 5 years, 8wks ago started a cycle. Very low,1 shot of test 250 every 4 days & 1 A-50 mon thru fri. Needless to say , strength is shooting thru the roof, God I missed being big!! Well , big for me anyway, not so big to others, but I'm happy.

good  lift... not many guys do chins... simply because they are hard.... but i find them to be one of the most effective back excercises....

I finally hit a break through instead of squating the 45 pound bar i added 5 pounds to the bar and did it for 8 reps. i was feeling good about it untill i saw this 16 year old girl squating 135 lbs i was so embrarassed i ran out of the gym screaming and crying.

i do chins religiously... 2 times in my back wourkout...
and they have played a great part im my back development...
1000 times better than pulldowns.. which i think is a lazy mans chins... chins are way more effective

agreed for anyone under 250 lbs, but how many chins could a 300+ pound man like Coleman do? And he has once of the best backs in history.

240 i think strenght should go hand in hand with muscular weight... am i right(since people love to brag about it so much)
i used to do chins when i first started to train i was probably 150 muscular...
i remember in a competition i did 28 chins.. im now a lot bigger and heavies and i can and have easily beat that number.. in fact the most ive done is 40...
i think big guys can do chins.. its just that they are hard so a lot of people wll go any avenuue rather than doing them... i have seen pics of coleman doin chins when he was well over 250...

I still can't quite lock out 380 on the bench press. I think I need to do more triceps training.

I hit 550lbs on the deads yesterday so i hope to get my working sets around 515 or so and continue toward 600lbs witha raw lft over 500. Legs coming along witha 405 squat fo 3, i'm sure my max is not much over that. Chest is lagging on the flat witha 335 max. I think i could do 365 for one but have'nt done it so, i have more work to do. Hope to hit 405/600/500 by SEPT. We'll see.
