So let's say for argument's sake his father was full Puerto Rican and his Mom, full Irish. He'd be a Puerto Rican with Irish features.

I think of it as the battle of the genes. At some point, the fetus takes more than 50% of the physical traits of either the mother or father. That is where the overall look comes from. You might have mom's eyes, but you look like daddy.

We know that mental disorders are many times genetic. that's like saying we have a documented case of a family with history of high suicide rates yet there was a a child that didn't kill herself. ::)

however, my attitude has always been that its both genetic, and a choicr, depending on situation s and individuals. Some may become gay because of social or family issues, others may be because of a genetic issue. Ive always felt that trying to pin something so complex down to a single set of circumstances was fucking retarded.
