I consider the “chance” meeting of Ed and I at the San Francisco NPC show, and our subsequent work together, to be a true blessing in my life.
He is a constant source of inspiration, wisdom and humor. He brings a lot of joy into my life.
When he and I met, I had been working on a lot of repetitive projects in my business. I was bored and I was losing “passion” for my work. Working on his website has gotten me excited about a creative project in a way that I haven't experienced in many years.
Ed was a childhood hero of mine and now he's becoming a friend in my adulthood. During the short time I've known him, He's demonstrated a persistent optimism, an unstoppable drive and an unshakable honesty and integrity. In short, as far as I can tell, people like Ed Corney are in short supply.
I keep adding new features to the site as time allows. In fact, I just received a new package from Ed of some of the most treasured behind the scenes snapshots that he's saved over the years. I've started to scan, restore and post some of these previously unpublished images already.
I also just added a guestbook page for people to leave messages for Ed. I know how much he enjoys hearing feedback on his website, his photos and most of all his long career.
If you have the time to quickly post something in his guestbook it would mean a lot to him. You can first look at the website at http://www.edcorney.net and then follow one of the links to http://www.edcorney.net/guests.html where you can leave your message for him.
thanks - Joel

Is there something funny about Ed having asked for the folks that you listed below to be on his links page? Maybe you should just go to Clarence Bass' site and see the feature he's currently running on Ed's new site . . . or look at Ed's guestbook to see what Bill Grant had to say about Ed yesterday . . . I think I'm missing the joke, if there is one . . .

Below is one of my favorite shots of Ed displaying his full on 1970s "cool" Charles Bronson look, leaving the airport as he arrives in South Africa in "Pumping Iron".

What's all "about steroids"? . . . I guess I'm not really used to these cryptic remarks . . . new to these boards, so I'm a little in the dark. - Joel
P.S. - Here's a shot of Ed after the infamous leg workout in Pumping Iron . . . remember Ed was in his 40s then and Arnold was in his late 20s . . . but Ed completed the sets with four plates and perfect form . . .
