I ordered a 10 lb jug of Optimum Whey Protein and I can't get enough of it. I like how it tastes so I can always be drinking some. My question is how much should I take before I'm over doing it or waisting it. I weight about 195 with a little bit of fat and I'm about 5'10". I don't really have a set diet yet but trying to work on it.
Thanks for any replies!

One gram of protein per pound of bodyweight is sufficient if you're at or above maintenance calories.
If you're in a caloric deficit, you may want to increase protein intake to 1.25 or 1.5 grams per pound.

You don't want to depend on powder too much. Get most of your protein from food.

I agree Loomis and you know your having too much when your blowing protein bubbles out your ass like its nobodies business!

Blake and Loomis are right on

Thanks guys, blowing protein bubbles out my ass would be kind of messy.

really the only time you need to take it is right before you lift and right after...everything else should be whole food killer
