I noitce that this is the only section of the board you guys read
So for all the pros like Chick, Shawn, Branch and others....
Cardio first thing in the morning or after breakfast?

most would probably say before breakfast, for some however they feel they want to eat something to have a little bit of energy or it just feels better.
i dont think it makes much of a difference either way.

The ideal time to do Cardio for 'Fat Loss' is when your glycogen stores are depleted.
Typically, that is after an extended period of fasting, such as when you first wake up in the morning or immediately AFTER your weight workout.
I prefer to do it after my weights so I don't have to make a seperate trip to the gym.
If you decide to do it in the morning before you eat breakfast, I would recommend taking a scoop of whey protein (approx. 20grams or so) in water before. I also add an additonal scoop of glutamine (5 grams). This will help kick start your metabolism and prevent muscle protein breakdown without affecting your fat burning ability.
If you do the cardio in the morning, be sure that you eat enough protein and replenish your glycogen stores (have some carbs) before you hit the weights.

However, back in the day, 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach 5am 45 mins plus Abs.
Then shower, breakfast, paper, coffee, bathroom off to the gym 8am Training! ;D

That confirms my theory on the cardio on an empty belly being effective. Now adding abs right after, did that help keep your waist small Shawn?

The same amount of weight loss from a full stomach or a empty stomach but on an empty stomach more Fat will be lost in comparison to a full stomach.
