LMFAO!!!!!
That is kind of funny. Poor guy, gotta be tough trying to defend that everyday.
On the one hand, I kinda feel sorry for him, then I think of the gravy train he's given to the insurance companies

Feel sorry for him? I do hope you're being facetious. This so called affordable care act, is one of the most malicious schemes ever hatched, which will cost people their lives. And all for what? Greed. To pad the coffers of the insurance companies. Absolutely sickening!

I feel sorry for him when I think of the position he's in having to defend that monstrosity... I mean how do ya do it?
...then I think of the monstrosity he gave the American people... and I get over it pretty quickly. ;D
On the one hand, for the sake of the American people, you kind of don't want to see the POTUS fail,
...but on the other hand, you're thinking it's a good thing for all the flaws in the AHA to be brought to light.
I don't know how to describe it, ...it's a wierd feeling. Not schadenfreude, sad all around for everyone concerned. :'(

So you're saying he is the "puppet master" and NOT merely the puppet? I dunno...
I knew something was up the day the insurance companies all did a simultaneous 180 in less than 24 hrs,
...but I never could have imagined it would be this devastatingly wretched. This thing is a bloody abortion,
...and a partial birth abortion at that, ...complete with suction hoses, and garden scissors. :o :-X

Actually, he's kind of technically correct here.
Most people DIDN'T have health insurance before, so technically some coverage is better than no coverage :-\

It was a smaller number that is losing it, than those without it, that will now get it.
I'm not talking about cost-wise, simply coverage-wise

No they wont - the numbers losing exceed the numbers signing up.

No they wont - the numbers losing exceed the numbers signing up.
The numbers signing up don't reflect the number without coverage or previously unable to get coverage.
I'm sure there are a ton who want to sign up, ...but are getting lost in cyberspace because the website sucks.

You know what I mean. It is a giant clvsterf**k, and if when it blows, it's not going to be pretty.

Obama failing equals america winning.

Very true. This is very serious and people had better start understanding the dire consequences that are coming as a result. People need to wise up, rise up and be heard, and refuse to be ignored. This will shatter an already weak economy and an already devastated lower and middle class.

I still have zero problem forcing people who had no insurance to purchase it. A lot of conservatives yell about it, but unless you have the balls to refuse treatment to those with no coverage (which none of them do) they will forever be a drag on the system by using the ER's as their personal physicians.

How many 60 year old men rn to the ER for matenity?

That is one part of the act and I dont agree with it. But it makes no aense to force hospitals to treat those with no insurance and pass on the cost to those who do.

That has ZERO to do w anything whatsoever. Why didnt they address EMTALA if that is the case? Obama used that arhument for obamacare but its irrelevnt as many hospitals will not accept obamacare. Additionally - obamacare outlaws catastrophic plans which were meant for that purpose and now less people will be insured. So its making things even worse.

Bullshit. You are arguing on 4 or 5 points with blanket comments. Many hospitals can not refuse treatment, period. Doesnt matter if its Obamacare or not. You walk in off the street and the HAVE to treat you. That is issue number one. You take that away and I really dont care if Obamacare exists. The problem is nobody has the balls to refuse treatment. Which creates issue number two. Someone is going to pay if those uninsured wander in off the street. And its those of us who have coverage are the ones absorbing the cost.
Look, I cant stand Obama and imo, all they really want is a single payer system so he doesnt care if it fails. Those who had coverage should have been able to keep it and if someone doesnt have coverage they should either puchase it or never visit a hospital inless they pay put of pocket 100%.

Obamacare still leaves at least 30 million uninsured who will still use the ER. Again the argument you make sounds reasonable and justified - but obamacare does ZERO to address it.

Oh I know. The ONLY thing about it that I think s reasonable is that it should be mandatory to purchase insurance. Granted there are those who talk about "i would never use it". But that is BS when it comes to catastrophic events. IE: they develop cancer. Yet this stupid piece of legislation would allow them to never have coverage but puchase it after they develop a problem. "Hey, I was just in a car accident, think I will go buy some insurance now."
IMO the whole pre-existing condition clause should only be valid for children. I would create a period, say one year, where preexisting conditions couldnt be held against someone. After that it would only apply to children and in special cases such as losing a job. But to just aet it up to allow people to not purchase it until after they develop something is beyond idiotic. And dont get me started on the corporate exemption for Odramas union buddies yet no relief for individuals.
-
They could have created a limited national catastrophic plan or allowed people to purchase insurance across state lines and left everyone else alone. No maternity, drug abuse, or other nonsense, but something narrowly tailored and affordable - instead we got a DISASTRR
