Starting Jan. 1, the law expands Medicaid eligibility to those with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level — $15,856 for an individual or $32,499 for a family of four. The Supreme Court gave states the right to opt out of the expansion, which is fully financed by Washington for the first three years, gradually phasing down to a 90 percent federal share.

For the first 3 years, then after that the states have to carry the burden of paying 10% of medicaid. Gee, how will the states find the money to pay for it? What will they instinctively do to pay the sudden increase in millions and millions of expenses?

I am sure that in time the federal share will decrease even more. Bankruptcy is in Medicaid's future.

More people that will need to be covered by taxpayers because so far there are not enough healthy people signing up for this scam to pay for the new medicaid enrollees.
