its not so mucb the lack of willpower that contributes to obesity, its the prevalence and ready availability of processed foods and fast foods that contain way too many calories.

It's a partial truth, one main reason is that it takes time to go shopping, go home and cook a decent meal.
Many people are just too lazy to do it and they go to Bking or mcd....they eat shit and in the end they look like shit

Oh horseshit. People choose to eat what they do.  Using the excuse of it being available is nonsense.  Nobody is force feeding their fatasses.

hey bro what percentage of the population do you think was obese in the early to late 1800's in north america?

'italian lifter' had it right. when you got to cook the food, or grow the crops, and not rolling thru mcdonalds for .99 big macs its a vastly different story.

kids are growing up fat because of this, and are becoming fatter adults.

i feel income bracket/ societal hierarchy is prolly another reason too. id be willing to bet the vast majority of obese people earn less money than those who are not obese, given all other factors being equal.

the main problem is laziness. Everything is at the touch of a button today and readily available, which makes people lazy. How many people cook their meals everyday? And that was a norm decades ago.
Another problem is media, advertising bombarding people with cheap deals at fast food restaurants with enormous size meals.

We can talk in circles but the fact remains people choose to eat like shit, choose to not exercise and choose to put their cash towards flat screens, cable and dem rims instead of spending a little on a healthy diet.  The choose to be the way they are in the cast majority of cases.

Exactly...many different factors involved.
Also I know people who rather order out everyday and they can cook, and then they have have no money for groceries.
Our society is so geared toward convenience and quick solutions that in the end it causes more problems than it fixes.

Fuck yes.

Everyone's level of fitness is going to fluctuate.  Mine does as well.  But people who completely let themselves go and then claim it's not their fault?  Laughable.

Require all obese people to post their pics on Getbig and answer the comments.

Hell, I'm a 50 year old man with 10% bf and a 34 inch waist and I got brutalized. Could you imagine what would happen to actual fat people? The devastation would cause them to either lose weight or kill themselves. It's win/win!

This^^^Also the obesity epidemic is imop a sugar epidemic. Every 17 seconds someone is diagnosed with type II diabetes. I'd imagine that 17 second number will continue to drop as more and more people go to the hospital. Having high sugar in your blood doesn't make a person lazy, it makes them tired. Lazy and tired are two different things altogether...
