Title: Your DVD collection....
Post by: Slick Vic on January 03, 2006, 06:35:52 PM
Of all the bodybuilding DVDs I own my favorite (minus Pumping Iron) would have to be Battle for the Olympia 2003. As for a pro's DVD.... hmmm.... I'd go with Jay's "Ripped to Shreds".  8)
Others?  ???

Craig Titus' rise to win his pro card in 96.  Dude has sick muscularity and garden hose veins in his arm to die for.

Titus at his peak (http://www.mesomorphosis.com/aff/clickthru.pl?id=ciscorob5&page=http://www.mesomorphosis.com/store/videos/craig-titus-the-video.html)

from Light Weight

"The definitive version of BFTO 2005 will include Alex Fedorov (arms), Dennis James (back), Melvin Anthony (arms), Chris Cormier (shoulders), David Henry (chest), Gunter Schlierkamp (chest), Ronnie Rockel (back), George Farah (arms), Kris Dim (back)..."

sounds awesome.  8)

I saw some of Ronnie's first video where he looked like this: (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/BBingDungeon/content2.jpg)

That video is the most inspirational because he looks huge but still aesthetic.

Very cool. I hope Mits filmed backstage like he did for the '03 version. That was great. Seeing Arnod coming backstage and all. When asked why he didn't do it for the '04 version he said he wasn't allowed to film back there 'cause of security and "big stars". A la, Arnold, Sly, Triple HHH. We'll wait and see.

Yes, I'm definitely gonna pick up BFTO 2005 if/when it actually comes out. This month, isn't it, Rob? I notice Ronnie's new DVD has been going for well about retail on eBay. Stupid sods.

Anyway, out of the DVDs I have - Ripped To Shreds, Back to Basics, The Cost of Redemption, Blood and Guts, Made in Germany, The Blond Myth, Another Blond Myth, and that gay Flex Wheeler one, I'd say Ripped to Shreds is easily the best and most professional of the lot. Blood and Guts being second. I'd put Ronnie third. Ruhl's is a bit of a laugh more than anything else.

I don't think much of Back to Basics at all, partly because James' motivational spotter is such a completel and utter c**t.

For anyone who has both, is New, Improved and Beyond better than Ripped to Shreds?

New, Improved and Beyond is a bit more informative but I find Ripped to Shreds a bit better. Oh! I almost forgot.... New, Beyond video shows someone throwing a water bottle at Jay pratically hitting him and it shows his gear in the fridge..... oops!  :D That only should make you buy it.  ;D
Lee Priest's videos are now available on DVD?  ???

I bought mine at the '05 Olympia. It's an rough copy so it's not an "official" release. Mits sells these copies at every Olympia until the official release which takes.... FOREVER!  >:(

Much the same; whatever one doesn't have the Priest nude scene is the one I prefer. I realise they have a variety of 'markets' but I wish they'd leave that shit off the DVDs and keep it for members on their web sites only.

I've only seen MMM down my gym, i.e., without sound.
