Title: Republican Rep: 'The GOP Coalition Constitutes A Shrinking Portion Of The Electo
Post by: blacken700 on November 18, 2013, 01:55:33 PM

TOM KLUDT – NOVEMBER 18, 2013, 6:58 AM EST

The Republican Party is at serious risk of running out of Republican voters, according to a senior GOP lawmaker.

“Republicans need to understand that their political problems are neither tactical nor transitory,” Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) said, as quoted by the Washington Post. “They are structural and demographic. The hard truth is the GOP coalition constitutes a shrinking portion of the electorate. To change that daunting reality, Republicans must appeal to groups that are currently outside their ranks or risk becoming a permanent minority.”

A former pollster, Cole is known to speak candidly about the political problems facing the GOP. He broke with his party late last year when he said that Republicans should accept President Barack Obama's offer to extend middle income tax cuts in the near-term. Cole also said that Republicans would be damaged politically by the recent government shutdown.

Makes sense to me.

Uptight white people aren't fertile enough to make up for the right's tendency to antagonize every type of minority under the sun.

This is why they are working on voter suppression

If fact in the governor race in Virginia the teabaggers had no shame is saying that a low voter turnout would help their candidate and a higher turnout would doom him

Repubs need to have less of the country participating in democracy in order for them to have a chance

Those are the sad facts (for them) and they seem to have no shame in admitting it

Oh I guess by 'shrinking proportion of the electorate' they were not in any way referring to the shrinking proportion of whites  ::)

Voter suppression is a real problem along with gerrymandering but democrats need to admit the push for amnesty has a lot to do with acquiring votes.

Do they just want to help the Dems get more votes?

To the libtards, only whites are republican or vote republicans.

The blacks and hispanics who are registered republicans are called uncle toms and sellouts by the libtards. They treat conservative women like thrash and constantly insult them. Libtards have the belief that the republican party is only composed of  old angry, white men.

Libtards are the most ignorant and intolerant people in this nation.

Really?

You can see it everywhere in how the liberal media speaks about, writes about and describe conservatives.

Those were really nice word from Bashir to Palin. Oh, it's okay because he apologized.

Keep yourself stupid.

Their angle is cheap labor for their campaign contributors. It's the philosophical idea that the nation state is an outdated concept and that commerce and the flow of wealth is what unites people.  For them, there are no countries, only individuals so borders and cultures are irrelevant.  What benefits business is always good and the importation of cheap labor is good for business no matter how it effects the wages of native workers.

so cheap labor for their political  patrons even though they "know" they are also helping the Dems get more votes

Is anyone on the record admitting to either of these things?

If you mean why did we vote for Obama, it's because the alternatives were worse.

Repubs have had shitty candidates the past 2 elections.

(Vote for Romney?  After the economic crash?  Are you serious?  You mofo's are lucky no REAL socialists were on the ballot.

It's right out of the neoconservative think tanks.  Grover Norquist is a big advocate of this kind of policy.  Where you see a difference of opinion on immigration is between paleoconservative nativists and neoconservatives.

so you have some links or something?

I'm not saying it's not true but I'm just wondering if anyone has gone on the record with it

same goes for you belief that Dems only want amnesty for the votes.   Don't their wealthy patrons want cheap labor too?

My question to you libs is, why are you so enthusiastic about amnesty? Why are you so enthusiastic about the decline of white america? Do you think it will improve our nation somehow? Every single nation in history that has opened its gates to massive 3 rd world immigration has declined and broken apart as its native culture was displaced.

Why do you cheer this on??

Yes democratic donors want cheap labor as well but they don't have to influence the democrats to support immigration because the democrats are already for it.  Democrats promote immigration for what they believe are humanitarian reasons.  For the wealthy patrons it doesn't matter what the democrats reasons are as long as it's ultimately promoting their interests.

What other reason could the democrats have for allowing 11-30 million unskilled low wage workers into the country to compete with native workers?

I'll dig you up some links. Open borders and lax immigration are the backbone of most libertarian economic policy.  What matters most to them is property rights of the individual, not national borders.

John Matrix…There is very little difference in the intellectual baseline capabilities of humans whether or not they are white.  If a person is raised in an environment where being smart is valued, he will grow up to be smart.

Soul Crusher…New York City attorney who personifies the root of the platitude: “When smart people say stupid things.”  He should leave the Slayer alone and cultivate an appreciation of the New York Philharmonic.

You mean the alternative of lower UE, job growth and a thriving economy? How is your choice working out? No, we didn't get a socialist, we got a full blown communist. As forRomney, he was dead on about everything he predicted (like ones on here who also predicted it). I don't blame him, I blame people like you. And as it turns out I was also right about him buying his last election with the fudging of the UE rate about 30days before the election.

Go ahead, idiots. Keep demonize me, the more I get demonized the more right I have been.
