I was reading old flex magazines and in alot of issues Joe Weider claims that bodybuilding taught him how to be successful in all areas of his life.
has bodybuilding taught you how to be successful in life?

Never had any successes
-
yes, i'm a firm believer in the Weider "bodybuild and be successful in all areas of life" principle
-
What else would you expect him to say? Like he would give credit to the actual people he profitted off of.
-
Its actually helped me stay out of trouble and given me confidence. But not how to be successful :(

has it helped you
besides being obsessed w/ kevin levrone Earl?

So you get more chicks when you're on a cycle?
How much do you gain and lose when on/off?

There are a few women i know who love that extreme muscular men that i enjoy my company.I add about 40 to 45 pounds a cycle to 270 pounds but my doctor says i am playing russian roulette.
I intend on going natural at 225 pounds at 5,11 and back to basics where i enjoy my lifting i will not enjoy the company of these women but i prefer a woman who looks past the physical size.Bodybuilding has given me the oppurtunity to be more confident around people making me a better person.

Don't worry about what the doctors say, they usual overreact to these things. If you can put on some temporary size and feel better about yourself, then do it. ;)

When it comes to disciplined, yes it has helped. But the down side is I put bodybuilding before school (high school) and even though I graduated, it was only by the skin of teeth. But I did go to college and although I did not finish, my living is just as good as a person who did graduate. But the discipline I learned was to never give up especially when it comes to business.

Helped me to intimidate some fools...get some muscle-crazed pussy...a slight boost to the self-confidence...the usual shit.
Overall, however, the success I've achieved in life has nothing to do with bodybuilding. Success academically or in business requires a discpline...but a different type of focus and drive. Life success requires a certain social intelligence that makes others comfortable around you, as well as a strong knowledge in your chosen area of expertise. People respect you when you seem comfortable in your own skin and really know your shit to where you can teach it to someone totally out of their element.
