Yeah, maybe in a pie eating contest. Jay has not been able get all his bodyparts to hit at the same time when he has to be on stage. Some part is always holding water. If Jay was so good, he would have a sandow by now.

Another great vid of yours Rob!

ROFL.

incredible video
great choice of music as well
Dorian was the king!
-
Good stuff Rob.
In terms of the top five of his era, I think Dorian was the best from the back and the worst from the front. So how does that justify his wins? ???
Dorian was an excellent bodybuilder and had he been placed fairly would have always been top three, but was definitely the least dominant, most overrated Mr. Olympia ever among the top Mr. Os (Coleman, Haney, and Arnold).
HAHAHAHAHA YA RIGHT!

Dorian was a great Mr.O. What set him apart was his conditioning, and of course his back.
-
And Ronnis has never had some bullshit wins?
-
I'm only saying this in comparison to the best.
Can you honestly say he was equally or more dominant than Ronnie, Lee, or Arnold? Did Dorian have any win that was not debatable?
He competed in the most challenging era in the history of bodybuilding. If you watch the 1996 English Grand Prix, you will see his upper body was not on the level of a lot of the other guys on that stage. His arms were horrid and the rest was nothing special (conditioning aside).
Dorian was great, but is overrated IMO.

You said it right there. He competed with the stiffest competition ever and still won 6 olympias, WITH various injuries. Just shows how dominant he was

excellent point. that is so true. who did lee haney compete against? while he was 250, his biggest threats were 185 gaspari and 170 pound lee labrada.
yates beat some of the best bbers EVER in their prime - shawn, nasser, kevin, paul, and flex. jay, gustavo, dexter couldnt even touch those guys.
-
And Ronnis has never had some bullshit wins?
Ronnie only deserved to win in 1998, 1999 and 2003. The rest are gifted by bloated belly judges
-
Did Dorian have any win that was not debatable?
I think a lot of people agree - pros included - that Dorian was so far ahead in 1993 that it's potentially the most dominant win in the sport. Ever. Even the likes of Ray, Wheeler and Bannout said as much at the time (let's ignore the sour grapes many years afterwards.)
1995 wasn't much different.

i was there in 95, and the moment yates cmae on stage and the boat horn were blaring, it was over.

get the fuck out of here with that bullshit....

he deserved becoming Mr Olympia
I didn't see any gut at all
-
Did Dorian have any win that was not debatable? ???
Doz was so far ahead of the competition in the 93 MR O that the judges did not even bother to call him out in the Muscularity round.
Afterwards Dorian was quoted as saying'I knew then that I was either first or last, and I was'nt F**king last!
-
That part at the end was funny; I could barely make out what he was saying though, I had to turn the volume up and listen like 3 times.
If I burn that on to CD can it still automatically delete.
btw, you have to go here http://www.winace.com/ if you can't open it...

did yates have anything other than 1's on the scorecards? coleman has won a few by barely squeeking by.

remember this paul dillet saw those famous black and white before and after photosin 93 while prepping for said mr olympia....he told his pal Flex, there is no way you can beat him(Dorian)...flex disagreed but we all know tyhe result....
dorian had won before he stepped onstage...

true, but the things people were saying about Ronnie's 2003 win were the same. People were going on about how he was so far ahead that he should retire while ontop.
I look at dorian's 93 win and ronnie's 2003 win in a very similar respect:
1. both 'raised the bar" in terms of mass at the time (BOTH were the heaviest on record at the time : Yates at 257, ronnie at 287)
2. Both were considered to have set a new standard, one that was far above the next nearest competitor.
3. Both sucked the following year.
However, Ronnie is awesome and Dorian is overrated, so that sets them apart ;)
-
I DONT THINK RONNIE SUCKED IN 04, AND HE WAS DEFINITLY BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
-
You're right - he was better than everyone else...
but that's because everyone else sucked even more!
And, as you can see, ronnie was much dryer at the press conference in 04 than he was at the contest, esp. the pre-judging where he was hold lots of water..
-
This video is testament to Dorian's greatness, and deserves to become a classic of bodybuilding.

least dominant? he only got 1's on the score cards i think
-
pretty sure yates never lost a single round after he won the o. in 92,so yes he was definitely the most dominant ever in the sport.ronnie and hasney both sqeaked by a couple times on the judges scorecards.

Holy resurrection of a dead thread!
Interesting topic, though... Yates vs Ronnie
This demands further investigation
