I'm all for women in the military as long as the standards are identical to the men's. I'm against lowering the standards for any reason.

It's actually worse than that. In the Marines I think they only have to hang, while the men do pull-ups. In the Army, they were going to change their physical fitness test and add pull-ups, but they couldn't find enough women who could do pull-ups during their testing.

The US military is doomed. Could it possibly get worse than the French military?

They've lowered standards across the board to accommodate the poor performers.

Nah. They're still the best and baddest military on the planet. Always will be.

They've always had different standards for men and women. The only question now is whether they will lower standards to allow women into combat roles.
