Acre, once we're back in SD I would be interested in training MMA at your gym once in a while. I have a background in Judo (black belt, used to compete at national level 92kg, back then that was weight class). Not very familiar with striking, did a little boxing and kickboxing like 10 years ago but that's it. Too late to learn at my age considering my background?

Thanks!

LOL good point. I would have to lose a lot of water the make the weight. I think it's -100kg now, which is about 220lb, would be easier but also guys at 220 are 6'3"+ these days. I wouldn't last too long unless I can bring them to the ground quick, then it's lights out. Never lost a fight on the ground. Ever.

The only fights you've ever been in dickhead is with obesity, sterility, masculinity and honesty.
You lost all four.

Really??
Too bad the one promoting it is such an asshole. Would never want to feel like I was contributing a dime to his welfare.

Jon Lindsay's a good old dude. Went through many lean years as an NPC promoter but clearly is now making some much deserved bread.

Alex said he would be doing the show in 2011, which my training partner then won.
Alex was nowhere to be seen though. Maybe his alarm clock broke and he missed the predjudging.

Congrats to your friend chief, I had to make choices and take responsibilities on other priorities such as a high profile career, maintain a thriving  high tech business and family to take care of.

I feel bad about missing on that opportunity. How much did your "friend" make and how much did he spend? I'm assuming he lives off of bodybuilding by now.

Nice sarcasm. Only an idiot does bb for money.

Yet here we all are on a forum dedicated to this no-pay activity. Why not go post
on a finacial forum... after all life is all about money*

LOL @ *footnoting your "posts".

I love bodybuilding. Always have and always will. However it's a "hobby" and not a "profession". Here lies the obsession.

is retarded.

Can you say schmoe boys and girls for "a good old dude."
The NPC seemed a lot more legitimate when Williamson was running it.

Agreed.

This guy used to be one... promoted a couple of shows in SFO... I think he's some douche nephew. Can't remember which one.

I agreed, you backed down. I win by default. Besides, against me you wouldn't have even had a call out. Ok, well maybe from 18th - 28th and this is with me being 15+ years older :)

Well played Sir. You're absolutely right. Would taking you out for lunch or dinner next time I'm down in SoCal honor the bet?

Coach you're a great guy. I admire your passion and dedication.
