just saw the new back training article in Flex and these guys brag a lot about their lifts but never prove anything, it says that on their heavy deadlift workouts they go to 765lbs. for reps but conveniently didn't do them in this workout, it seems like every time they have a photo shoot it's some excuse like, "i'm pre contest" or "i'm injured", i don't believe a word about any of their claims, they're both liars.

is an excuse a lie

is an excuse a lie
they're lying because they're nowhere near as strong as their claims.
-
Maybe they mean they can lift 765 lbs together on the bar?
-
hahahaha, Jackson says he pulls over 800 pounds yet struggles his ass off with 5 plates on BFTO, if he's so strong why are his legs so skinny, Warren claims to military press 405 for 20 when anyone knows that's impossible, their back workout in Flex was pulldowns, dumbbell rows, machine t-bars and chins, WTF? what happened to the huge deads and barbell rows they claim to do, they're both full of shit.
-
ha ha
-
They train for shape these days.
-
not only that but they were doing the dumbell rows the easy way with their elbow resting on the opposite knee.

Actually while I cant say anything from warren, I can tell you Jackson is a world class powerlifter also. In the off season he competes in powerlifting meets. I believe this year he deadlifted 821 at a WPO meet. If any of these guys claims are true it would be his. If he stuck to powerlifting alone he'd be probably the best in the world in his weight class.
peace,
mike

TRU DAT IRONMIKE, JOHNNIE LOVES TO POWERLIFT AND RONNIE HAS EVEN SAID THAT JOHNNIE WAS ONE OF THE STRONGEST PRO BB THAT HE HAS WORKED OUT WITH.
-
Here is a pic of Branch deadlifting 675lbs he says he goes as high as 765lbs for reps , this is from Flex magazine April 04
-
Johnnie Jackson has pulled over 800 in a one-lift meet (Rise of the Dead). I saw a video of him doing reps with 675 like it was nothing.
Lots of strong squatters and deadlifters have unimpressive legs. The leg muscles respond more to endurance (high rep) training.
-
The Flex workout was 2 days after Europa and both still did 200 lb. dumbbell rows for 10 reps. I'd say that's pretty damn good.
-
Just from the few video clips that people have posted on here...
Watching Branch and JOJ train, you can feel the energy and intensity. They train like animals. Like Ronnie does. Old-school style. It makes you want to hit the gym and tear it up. They train like warriors, like they love what they're doing.
Contrast that with Cutler working out in the posh Vegas Gold's... there's just something, can't put my finger on it... it's just uninspiring to me. It looks like he's just putting in his time at the office, doing his job. Snore.
I've never been a Cutler fan so maybe I'm just biased. I don't necessarily think Branch and JOJ are the best pros around either but watching them train is inspiring. And Branch is moving up in the pro ranks.

There are no people who look up to them.

Please, the best in the world in his weight class? The guy squatted 821,at 275[I think he weighed 248 or so]thats 300lbs under the record. He could train ten lifetimes and he isnt getting another 300lbs out of his squat. His bench SUCKS!!!!!!Now,he is great deadlifter but thats where it ends. The biggest total at 275 is like 2650,the biggest one at 242 is 2620.In the USPF,Eddy Coan totaled 2500+ at 242.Jacksons best total is 2120 or so.He COULD NOT BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD IN ANY CLASS IN ANY FED PERIOD!!
