What are you going to do with any of these languages, bro?

on a serious note
Spanish - I go to spain a couple of times a year so would come in handy
Russian - a lot of the eatern Europeans that are settling in the uk speak Russian, we have some polish employees so would come in handy there
Chinese - from a business point of view they are the emerging super power, it could be a serious advantage in the future
-
Everyone should just learn to speak English. Especially the dumbfucks living in America that can't. It would make
It
Easier for everyone in the world to communicate.
-
FUCK learning Spanish. This isn't a bilingual country. Learning English should be mandatory.
I came from Poland 20 years ago & obviously have learned it.
-
Same here want to learn a new language. Been studying Arabic but about to give up but realize I will never be fluent without living in Arab speaking country. And don't want to move there now because it just seems a mess now.
If I were you I would eliminate Chinese. Actually no such thing as Chinese language. ;)
Russian would be cool because you would be in with hot Russian chicks.
Spanish is easiest and most useful since we have open border in the US. :D

China's per capita income is lower than Cuba's. It's going to be a long time before they approximate anything that may be called a "super power." And anyway, are you going to do business in China or HK? Are in an industry so rife with Chinese businessmen that you simply must learn their language?
Proficiency is notoriously difficult. Is the marginal utility of learning this language (incurring 5+ years of intensive effort at a minimum) really higher than, say, learning some trick of the trade in your industry that will enhance profits, or learning about a new method of investing, or some such?

JNN is proficient in faganese.

the opportunity regarding china is to get sole distribution rights on some of their kit
they produce high end tech for very low prices
we are always being offered opportunities
but the language gets frustrating as both sides are using google translate
their english attempts are hilarious
im thinking russian is the way forward as it is more challenging than spanish

We need someone to learn Wigganese and falconese to decipher for us.

Maybe...English is more of an international language..
And with Chinese, will it be Mandarin, Cantonese, or Fuzhou?

Chinese too difficult you'll never learn to read their characters
Spanish is spoken by the poor
and that leaves one ;D

Living in the UK, than Arabic will be the standard language in 10 years...submit or die!
I mostly speak Spanish slang, though can hold a normal conversation. Helpful in SoCal. Many second generation Mexican's don't know Spanish and tend to marry out of their race; American white women and some Asian. Mexican women tend to marry their own race, but date just about any race before marriage.
Also speak Samoan, though not that well.

I recommend learning more of the language of the universe, i.e., math. There's more marginal utility in that than these difficult ass languages with dubious future utility, given the existence of translators.
