This guy, Steve Madden shows up everywhere wearing his "trademark" baseball cap. He's cue ball bald and the most insecure nincompoop on the planet. Dunce is a multi-multi millionaire and is still insecure.

Bad look. Guys with wrap around hair have no options. It's a hat or shave it.

Lets see....if I had the choice of only two hair styles:
1.The Ryan Seacrest. Comb it all forward then with a hair gel or spray spike it upward in the front. AKA "High School hair".
2. Bald

I take Bald.

i have studied HUNDREDS of black and white craniums with bald scalps up close

the conclusion is that

*black people genereally have round craniums, white more oval both in vertical as horizontal plane it's sort of stretched out, high foreheads etc

*a dark tan or negroid skin makes it look more acceptable than pasty white skin

*the remaining horse shoe pattern is not very visible if scalp is chocolate and hair is black, but very visible when scalp is white, hair is black

*white skin develops unsightly freckles and aging spots on that huge bald dome

that being said i've also seen some fucked up black craniums but not common

funniest part is, that larry david probably is 90% serious only 10% joking

funniest part is you dont get that Larry David's entire schtick (and writing style) has and always will be that the entire point is to seem totally serious and neurotic about asinine things. So ya, he is serious. The point of his comedic angle is that he's 90% serious, 0% joking and 10% neurotic is hell. That is the essence of Larry David and Seinfeld (which he co-wrote with Jerry).

Thanks for restating the obvious and continuing to show your lack of intelligence, anibolichalo. You simply just dont get things because you're slow.

Now, onto the topic at hand. BALDING. This is a minor setback for well adjusted people. If you are good looking, have a good job and have good social skills (i.e. funny), girls will not care at all if you have a receding hair line. Good looking guys with receding hair or baldness can pull hot girls all the time. Ask girls if they care about thinning hair if everything else is good. They will always say its not a huge factor. In fact, looks in general are much less important to girls than men. If you're otherwise appealing and doing well for yourself, balding is a minor speed bump.

I’m not just the president of Slamming Hot Bitches Out of my League Hair Club for Men, I’m also a client!

The point is baldness or thinning hair is only an issue for those already lacking. If you're good looking and doing well, bitches simply do not care. You dont have to be famous or rich. Although money always helps. :D

What, you need further evidence? Look no further. Check this fucking hottie out.

False. Larry David was a dweeby, neurotic, dork who was unattractive BEFORE he lost his hair. Hair would not transform him. What did transform him was fame and wealth! Plus anyone that would get to know him would realize he was an intelligent, witty guy that was going places despite the curse placed upon his genetics. If you could pull ass with hair you can pull ass without it. By the time you lose the hair you should be making wads of pocket lettuce anyway and it cancels out the baldness. The game is rigged! I should have been a god damn motivational speaker but im too busy suing insurance companies.

Cmon now!

Using a rich and famous celebrity doesn't count. You could pick an ugly, fat celebrity with or without hair and he could be with a chick just as hot.

The real test is this - how many prematurely bald white men (i.e. under the age of 35) do you see in public with smoking hot wives or girlfriends?

It takes a certain head shape to pull off the bald look.

I suffered a lot when my hair started thinning during my very late teens.

I shaved my remaining hair in the mid-'90s, and after the initial shock ... came to enjoy having no hair.

Nowadays, if someone offered me a full head of hair, I'd not accept. This is absolute sincerity.

Being bald is badass.

I don't get hathead. I don't get bedhead. I don't mind extreme wind or my vehicle's windows open.

And as far as women, who cares. If some broad doesn't like me because I have no hair, no sweat. There are no shortage of attractive women and some of them don't have issue with bald men.

My hair is thinning up top and I don't see anything wrong with it. Most men lose their hair at some point. He seems to lack self-esteem and associate success solely with appearances. Not the best mode of operation when you're not young and female.

He was clearly balding beforehand yet he claims to have shaved off his hair to get tattoos.  ::). I am a massive Slayer fan but Kerry comes across as being a major dickhead. Hanneman was by far the better musician and songwriter.

Another guy who pulls off the bald look quite well is Stone Cold Steve Austin:

As far as baldness being attractive to women, sure I guess most women would prefer a guy with a full head of hair BUT I wouldn't worry about going bald because of what some shallow woman might think of you. If a girl is into you she probably will be for reasons other than your hair.

Now at the same time this is easy for me to say, as I currently have a full head of hair and if I started going bald I would probably freak out too. I don't think I would carry off the cueball look to gracefully.

Fellow Slayer,

Kerry is a businessman(remember his Alchemy deal in the 80ies) - never forget that. That is what set him apart from the "typical" musician like Hanneman who had more talent but way less drive, determination and a drug habbit. I like the King from 1981 to 1994 - after that he grew up and treated Slayer like a job. I understand him but it's not my thing anymore and Slayer as of now is just another band that I ignore.
Stone looks similar to King - thick neck, good skull and a distinct face.
If it fits you women like it - very few diss you solely on the fact that you have less follicles. Tattoo'd and pierced chicks even prefer you.

I had a Windows peak and then my hair line starting preceding in my early twenties! A lot easier for me though I had thick hair like an Arab and didn't know what to do with it. It took me to long to style it etc.

I've also noticed women assume you're a bad boy if you shave your head and have a build. A lot of people I have become friends with and have gotten to know told me they thought I would be a prick or a mean guy.

I've been shaving my head for decades, so when it started thinning in my late 30's it was hardly a painful transition.

that guy wouldn't be getting laid anyway, hair or no hair.

just for the love of God don't grow a goatee and try to overcompensate with a 'tough guy' image...

Let's clear up a couple things. Being bald or shaving your head bald will still look good if you're good looking and have a well shaped head. You gents have posted some of them. Tyson Beckford and Jason Stathem. You see for some of you, you're saving grace to not resembling Shrek or Beeker is your hair. That's the honest truth. Knowing that now I see why some of you are worried about your hair.

Well I agree with you about King very often being the driving force particularly in relation to "selling" the band (e.g. merchandise, logos, image etc). He is like the "Lars Ulrich" of the band.

But I've heard some recent interviews with him where he seems to be taking most of the credit for things that I'm pretty sure Hanneman was more responsible for, such as song writing and musical ideas.

Jeff had the raw talent and was a very interesting guitarist in the era 81-91. Talent can't be bought and dude had plenty. After that he faded big time.

As for King  - I guess the money and fame has gotten to him and he's milking the cow now. In a way understandable because Slayer had to push so hard to make it big which was also the reason why they were so tasty... a big golden nugget shrouded in semi-secrecy... shaping a generation from the behind the veil.
Anyways, the show is over so he can shape it how he wants to... Slayer is just another band now... at least for me.
I gladly watch a concert from 1989 and riff away on my old BC Rich... I've been my own project Slayer for a long time  :D

Kerry comes across ... Hanneman was by far the better musician and songwriter.

Songwriting, I am not gonna argue. It's subjective. But Kerry is definitely the more refined and accomplished guitarist.

it's all about being in shape.  If you're ripped, and bald, you'll do fine.  If you're big and thick and bald, you're gonna do fine.

However, bald and thin looks terrible  Bald and fat looks terrible.

Look at every top celeb that is bald and doing well - they're all in terrific shape.

If you need romance to be happy - stay single

I mean, the "romance" lies in the forbidden, the seduction, the courtship and the journeys.

But I get your drift. And I agree.

similar to the "before" pics, in terms of recession  http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=14203

from the looks of it that guy still had better density and quality tho

That guy doesn't even look too bad, it's only when he pulls his hair back that its noticeable

he pulls it off well because he still had a good quality and density

his recession patter seems similar to mine but it looks a lot worse in my case because the hair is more shitty looking not shiny

Don't transplants look "desperate, " or is that what folks with fabulous hair tell newly balding men that are, well, desperate?

he says it's the joke of the century because of spreading out the hair over a too large surface

i agree, therefor they can only be effective in early stages of balding not advanced stage

Some hair transplants look horrible.  A good surgeon with an artistic eye can do wonders.  A lot depends on what a patients hair is like pre-transplant.

I'm just horribly confused on the whole "DHT derivatives VS DHT" issue in hairloss and steroids

Proviron is 1-dht not dht and is good to go. Only pure dht is bad such as dht creams. No excess dht occurs with proviron simply because there is no dht conversion in the first place with proviron. Itchy scalp can be remedied with nizoral.

So for which steroids does this theory apply as well? Which others can I take?

All of them except pure DHT which I think now is only available in cream and usually not used by anyone.

It's still just a band-aid. Future balding with most of these guys is inevitable, then what do you do? It will most likely look worse, even embarrassingly so, and donor hair is finite.

Not following you around, btw, just coincidental.

this is retarded logic i read it so often

yeah so if they go bald in the end they still looked much better for years than the guy who goes bald right away

end of the road they both shave their head

A person with slow recession or a bald spot on the crown could benefit from a transplant.  Someone with a horseshoe pattern is to far gone.

Sorry, I was merely looking at the end game. You're right, though, you will buy time. Lots of money shaved off ultimately.

And if you ever call me retarded again, I will kill every chemically-enhanced, balding mudshark in Cuba.

Songwriting, I am not gonna argue. It's subjective. But Kerry is definitely the more refined and accomplished guitarist.

I disagree. (You're 100% right about it being subjective however).

I go back to their Seasons in the Abyss solos as an example. King plays first and his solo is quite generic, one dimensional, lots of fancy pitch bends and pinched harmonics. Hanneman's is instantly more interesting and melodic. He switches up the cadence and has a much livelier approach. The pre-Rubin material was similar - Hanneman, while maybe not as technically proficient, was much more creative with his playing. (I will concede that King was a MUCH better live player however).

After Seasons in the Abyss Hanneman became less relevant in the band and King became the unofficial band leader.

(4:05 for beginning of solo's):

The solo is kinda weak compared to Hannemann's because it carries zero mood. The worst comparison would at the end of "Spill The Blood" - King's making some noises and the record ends.
On the other hand King has some incredibly impressive heartless solos which are cool as fuck though - "Criminally Insane", "Ghosts Of War". His leads on divine Intervention are extremely cool too.

My dad was bald as a coot at 25 and I've still got mine at 43.

I did sport a shaved head for a long time but with the influx of bald English yobs in Thailand, it sort of lumped me in with that lot, so I grew it out again.

I'd go bald again in a heartbeat where it not for that association. Easy to maintain, very comfortable in the hot weather and looked decent - even when suited & booted.

As for involuntary baldness when/if it does hit - I guess I'd be 50 or so and getting chicks is hardly going to be a major consideration at that point - so who gives a shit?

I think it's all about how you carry yourself anyway.

If you feel good, you look good.

I don't know a whole lot about the chemistry of steroids but doesn't a certain amount of all testosterone get converted into DHT? So pure testosterone and any steroids that are derivatives of testosterone (dianabol, sustenon, propionate etc) will undergo some conversion to DHT.

If a chicks dad was bald, she will be more open to dating a balding man. Even if she tells her friends she doesn't like bald men, there will be an attraction to it...Something she won't be able to deny, it will be in her subconscious...
