Very strong guy, for nowadays anyways. Would have been one of the weaker guys in wrestling 20 years ago.
-
Butt off the bench! Red light!! :) Still a lot stronger than I though he was.
-
Seriously strong upper body, what does he weigh - 250 "ish" ?

Maybe...20 years ago Vince McMann loved to pull out the fake plates himself...

Guys a real beast has an awesome look.

Reread the pro wrestlers bench presses thread.
-
Strong dude. I think he broke 4 ribs on that press ::)
-
Bouncy bouncy!!
-
Good strength for a natural
-
That was a heavy PR. Surprised he's risking it outside the ring especially after tearing his tricep.

20 years ago there was Herc, Warlord, Davey Boy, Warrior, LOD...........Cena would have been maxing with their multiple rep sets.
-
he could de a 450 maybe for an actual single

Once a bodybuilder, always a bodybuilder.

All fine natural athletes, oh and Warrior could bench less than Cena so what you on about?
-
Imagine if he juiced. :o

Warrior or, as was mentioned, Warlord? Warlord could bench more than 481 in his prime, I guarantee. In the later '80s I personally watched the man press 455 for six clean, tight and powerful reps. Full range and each with a slight pause on his chest. He was MONSTROUS.
The Ultimate Warrior? Not sure what poundage he was capable of pressing, but I figure it was likely in the mid-to-late 400s.
-
Ted Arcidi would have blown him out of the water on any lift, especially benches.
-
Strong. He can probably bench 400lbs with a very good form, which is a very good feat.
-
Cena tore one of his pectorals as well...

Hope the people in this thread are joking when they say Cena's natural.

Yeah, he's 6'0"-6'1" and between 240-250 pounds.

True...And with HHH at the helm, really strong dudes are no longer welcome in the WWE. H the third gets insecure around really strong dudes...
-
Is that recent? He tore a pec a few years back, surprised to see him grinding out heavy singles.

Then explain Mark Henry, Ryback, and Big E Langston.

explain their sudden lack of push..... ;)

explain their sudden lack of push..... ;)
Big E is the Intercontinental champion. He's getting a serious push now. Mark Henry had his in 2011, when they made him World Heavyweight Champion. And he's had several pushes derailed by injury, most notably in 2006.

Unfortunately no belt holds any meaning these days, IC champ is near worthless and tag champs are irrelevant. The big one has lost its prestige.

Lol whatever you say old man. Cena is stronger than all of those guys, even the British bulldog

You're kidding, right? Cena is badass (no homo), but he's nowhere near as strong as guys like Warlord and Bulldog, in their primes.
-
Warlord inclined 405 for 12!

ha ha im serious, as for old i dont think so! Cena's a strong guy no doubt, but ive seen Davey do things to Vader that Cena could never think of doing. Warlord was as strong as he looked and bigger than most human beings in recorded history, LOD's strength was legendary. Cena simply could not compete.

Cena had Viscera/Mabel, a man over 500lbs over his head for an Attitude Adjustment (his finisher). Cena's feats of strength are pretty sick. He can deadlift over 600lbs too. It's a matter of opinion but I believe Cena to be stronger
-
davey boy seemed to have explosive power cena doesn't

Impressive no doubt, but that move is surprisingly easy to execute on big men by using their momentum to throw them over. A 500lb squatter could hold him up there. Davey held Vader - a fart shy of 470lbs - up in a vertical suplex like he weighed 200lbs. He did his powerslam finisher on him effortlessly, stood up from being on all 4's with him on his shoulders - all in the same match. There is no doubt in my mind that Smiths strength was VASTLY superior.
-
mark henry was on another level

HA! Maybe Davey boy, definitely not not the others. :)
Those guys all push 455 for textbook reps rather easily.

Don't matter what they benched, Haku smashes all their skulls in seconds.

Finlay would have given him a right go, Harley Race also. Race had a murderous left hand according to everyone back in the day.

Goldberg has to be one of the most explosively strong wrestlers ever. He jackhammered big show/the giant twice, on one occasion he even held him in the elevated position
-
Dwayne's doin the 80's and the most paid dude in Hollywood running gh and tren ace yr round. rather b doin that

None of that requires as much strength as you seem to think it does.

i was shocked how he just dropped it on his chest.

Goldberg was one legitimately dangerous fella. His sheer blunt force trauma capabilities were freakish.
