He's up there, for sure.  More complete than his buddy Flex.  He reminded me of a taller Shawn Ray, only with better lines.  Yes, BETTER lines: Shawn was amazing, but his legs were too short and his quads looked blocky as hell.  All Chris really needed to do was come in super-ripped, which he probably never did -- but to his credit, he did come close a few times; e.g., the '99 Olympia and at least one of the ASC shows he should've won against Cutler and/or Dexter.

Good bb but there was nothing all that special about his physique.....nothin stood out is what I mean.  So if you like balance he was that in spades.

Exactly right and I never enjoyed real bb LOL....not into balance, symmetry and all that.  I liked the bbs with freaky arms, freaky legs, freaky back.....

I don`t even think there was anything balanced about his physique.  He is extremely narrow and had nothing memorable about him at all.

I like Coleman....much freakier quads in this shot and looks more shredded.  Second guy looks great too.  He has freaky lookin shoulders and forearms so that's good.  but his waist looks small so he probably attempts vacuum poses here and there.   

BBs that try vacuum poses are not my thing......I don't care how small your waist can get I care how freaky big your bodyparts can get.   Shawn Ray, Tony Pearson, Brian Buchanan....great bbs, not my preference.

For one, he was far from narrow, let alone "extremely."  And yes, his physique was balanced.  Calves, hamstrings, quads, abs, serratus, pecs, delts, arms, back from lower to his neck thick ... Chris was very, very good.  As I said, the only thing he truly "lacked" was the insane conditioning some of his peers had.  If he was as lean and dry as Dorian some years, preggo stomach Ronnie, skinny-legged Levrone and blocky Cutler would've been lucky to place second and third.

Remember, Cormier was a fucking CLOWN when it came to prep.  He partied like a madman and did lots of drugs like Ecstacy, drank like a parched fish, fucked all sorts of pussy (some of which undoubtedly gave him STDs) ... in brief, he was yet another lazy "Charles Glass Wunderkind," much like Flex and Paul.  The only difference is, Chris would push some heavy iron on occasion.

I was at the Arnold Classic one of the years Chris came in second (again) to the fridge. It was the year Jay was extremely overdieted and stringy as hell. Everyone at the show thought Chris won but it was just one of the many times Jay was given a gift he didn't deserve.

Anyway, I was at the expo between the morning prejudging and the evening show.  I was walking past the Weider booth right as Chris was showing up for his 2 hours of hanging out at the booth and signing pictures, etc. One of the guys I was with wanted to get one of the free pics they had available and have Chris sign it. Quite a few other people were at the booth doing the same thing. One of the people there said, "Hey Chris, why don't you take your warmup off and give us a biceps shot." Chris took his warmup jacket off and then without anyone asking went ahead and took his t-shirt off too. I don't think anybody there was expecting that, I sure as hell wasn't. He still had a light coat of oil on since prejudging had ended maybe an hour before this. He proceeded to not only hit a biceps shot, but pretty much went through all the mandatories. I was about 8 feet away from him and to this day I've never seen anything close to as good of a physique as I saw that day. He seriously looked like perfection that day. Was he the biggest or freakiest bodybuilder? No, he wasn't, but he sure had one damned good physique.  This was about 10 years ago and I can still remember it clearly.  He's very underappreciated.

Take a look at that back...twice he lost the AC to Cutler, who couldn't match Cormier from the back, from the front or in terms of symmetry.

I think Cormier had the genetics to get close to Ronnie. I just think Chris didn't train as hard and didn't use quite enough AAS+exotics, sure he used a shitload but not quite as much as Big Ron. Chris Cormier had insane genetics just slacked off at times and didn't come in shape.

Cormier had zero structural flaws. Where there bigger bodybuilders? Yes. We're there bodybuilders with freakier parts? Yes. But overall Cormier was more complete than Ronnie. Cormier had calves and better abs and can pose. Ronnie was freakier, had better work ethic and pretty much always came in good condition.  I guess if we had to nit-pick you could say Cormier could have used more back density and his arms aren't the best.

Yeah I saw him offseason before the 2003 Mr. O along with Ronnie was king. Cormier was fucking huge with a small waist and calves. Had to be at least 280

Chris was incredible, always the best guy on the tour and easiest to deal with. He should have won the ASC a couple of times at least. Still mates to this day and I am happy to see he is in a good place now, training a good group at Gold's Venice. Older, wiser and still got time for everyone. We go back.

Where the F are his arms? They look like they are 11"? Goes to show that these guys are truly ALL drugs, because naturally they are very tiny. I think Ronnie is the only exception.

if it takes 6g/wk plus 15iu gh/day (more like 10 in chris's case) to maintain 260lbs at 6% while taking in 5000kcals/day, you must be fucking stupid to believe they'll look the same at 500mg test/wk and taking in maybe 3000kcals while eating like a normal human being and training like a RETIRED bodybuilder.
