What makes someone punch very hard?Or kick? Its not so much to do with strength is it? Mike Tyson and Earnie Shavers and Fedor could hit a lot harder than Ronnie but I doubt they bench much more than half of what he could. So what makes it and how can I improve it.
Thank you for your feedback in advance.

Big punchers are to a large degree born that way, you can improve punching power through technique - proper foot position, using hips and whole body ,punching power starts in the feet and goes through the whole body like a whip, some guys are gifted though like Liddell who can be backing up and put you to sleep

So its speed plus torque or something

So its speed plus torque or something
It is leg drive, transformed into rotational movement by your hips and torso, and transferred to your shoulders. Also an essential quality for shot putters and other field events.

Think it's natural. You never see a boxer come on the scene that doesn't have great knock out power acquire it later in their career.
