I'm confused. What exactly is politifacts? Is it a blog-like thing? Or some kind of "non-political" organization?

It's a newspaper site that is a self-appointed 'fact check' site, wherein the reporters give their version of what they believe to be true.

And, IMO, like every other news site, you have to make your own determinations about the veracity of their reporting.
