Completely normal.
Your stomach was starved and you filled it with food, hence causing blood to be diverted to the stomach.
Additionally you body was shuttling glucose to carb-depleted muscles. The sudden increase in demand placed on your body's circulatory system caused the perceived increase in heart rate.
Also, there is the possibility that you felt guilt at having broken your diet causing the psychosomatic effect of anxiety i.e. the tachycardia.
Simple carbohydrates are well-known to have a soporific effect on the brain. This is because the sudden insulin release causes a rebound hypoglycaemia. Additionally the diversion of blood to the gut may be perceived as lethargy (for the purposes of digestion), as your central nervous system has proportionally less blood flowing to it.

I would just have a normal eating day and go back to ketosis tomorrow.
Just pass it up as a refuel day, in the long run it probably helps your metabolism to carb up once every week or two.
Isn't the calorie deficit too large as well? I would aim for a 750kcal deficit. How high is your body fat? If you're less than 15% then you are likely chewing into muscle tissue by trying to maintain a calorie deficit so large.

::)

yes its normal and thats hardly a binge, lol.

so what.on all diets some muscle gonna fade.
ppl underestimate how badly one can go into deficits ,esp when on steroids.
the trick is to not get sick.
i have said this before.
physique girl who comes in shredded to bone and literaly has more muscle than dj181, she eats 1300cals, every day training and 2-3hrs cardio every day.
calculate that deficit.
without cardio acounted for, this is eating less than nothing.lol.

When I do the keto thing and drop out it always takes me at least 3 days for it to start up again, I start having heart palpation's after a couple days, I can deal with it during the day but at night trying to go to sleep it makes me unnerved.

So gal bro is my deficit good, on the cross trainer machine its saying I burning 700 cals an hour but I slow down after 40 minutes or so its probably like 500 ish.

Behave yourself young man.
This is between me and my coach his highness sir galienko.
If he say's its ok for me to have big mac meal today, then who the fuck are you to argue with such a legend.
So gal yes or no to the big mac meal just for today bro?
I promise to do double cardio session and 20 hour fast tomorrow if you say yes.

Do you think Arnold wanted a Big Mac over eggwhites when trying to get lean?
Probably, yes, but he probably still ate the eggwhites.

Ok so it been nearly 7 days of very very strict low carb keto dieting, haven't exactly been counting macros and calories but I know instinctively where I am with it and when I'm in ketosis because I have been getting all the usual symptoms: I would guess I am eating between 1300-1500 calories with less than 70g carbs a day and sometimes probably less than 50g
This is on top of forcing myself to do intense cardio.
Getting all the usual symptoms.
1) Headache
2) Bad breath You are from the UK this is not a problem caused by the diet.[/[/b]font]
3) Tired as fuck
4) Depressed
5) Can't sleep
6) Moodiness
....blah blah blah..
I have lost 3.4 kilos in one week but just now I finally cracked, I couldn't take it anymore.
Just ran to the fridge and had
1) can of coke
2) wotsit
3) bread and houmous (i did take the insides of the bread out though)
4) 1 x Eat Natural Nutty Bar
5) 5-6 slices of salami
I am not worried about the binge cos it was not that bad and il be back on it from tomorrow BUT
SUDDENLY
AFTER THE BINGE
BOOM
My heart starts racing like a muthafacker, talking easily in excess of 100 bpm and 10 minutes later i feel like i wanna go into a coma and just sleep
This is new to me.
Is this normal after being low carb for a week or should i see my doc.

great post.
I'd say add a glass of wine next time with the carbs. :) You won't have the anxiety.

i like keto idea. i only did it once, ,ten years back, and i got ripped as shit in only a few days. any danger in doing it when getting older? i'm 37 and very careful with anything heart-related.
-
This is normal. Insulin drives the SNS.
