It seems that with people that get far out tattoos that they view people looking at their tattoos or asking about them as justification to get even more outrageous ones.
You see this with guys that transition from one tattoo into a getting a "sleeve" and the both arms. All of those guys that got barbed wire bands are now MMA ultra warriors fully covered in tats that shows the world how bad ass they are :-[

But I suppose we're all trying to compensate for some deep-ingrained insecurity, this unfortunately is the toll life takes on us. Invisible scars that itch beneath our collective masks; gateways to the infinite darkness of the human condition.
Not me though, I am embodiment of spirtual, mental, and physical perfection.

Close: a great deal of his body was burned from that, and I believe he had a lengthy hospital stay as a result. But, the fire rescue happened around 2001, and I know for a fact that he didn't die until 2007.
I never met Bammers, but I talked with Balls Mahoney a couple of times; and that dude can TALK!! This was around 2004. Those two were very close friends, and Scott was very much alive then. I think he was living in FL by then, but still worked the Northeast Indy circuit. Balls was talking about working with him, and I heard he took it pretty hard when Candido and Scott died years later. They were all Jersey guys and worked a lot together.

Whenever I see someone with crazy tattoos and ear gauges the first thing that comes to mind is that they must be in a lot of mental pain and anguish. It's like the goth people wearing depressing make up. These are not happy people but someone in inner turmoil. Lee Priest is of course someone I don't know but that is not a person who is happy with his lot in life. Maybe his endorsements have dried up. Maybe he blew his endorsement money away on cars instead of investing in such things as real estate or a business.
