Title: Troy Alves retired last night
Post by: Mr. MB on January 10, 2014, 07:48:34 AM
Posted on his Facebook page.

IMO one of the all time gems in our sport. Classic physique, never compromised quality for mass although it was only a pill or needle away, always true to himself and his friends/family.

Thanks Troy. I will miss the gym time with you. I look forward to more….book maybe?

Might just be temporary. Once the reality sets in, people have a tendency to change their minds....

I've always admired his build. He's muscular without being a complete freak. Of course 5'8" and 220 lbs. contest weight is nothing to sneeze at either. Hopefully, he will continue to lift and stay in shape. Born in 1966 he's managed to look really good well into middle age.

Running on the ticker at London Piccadilly Circus. Everyone are walking around dazed and shocked. It's deathly silence mixed with the odd sob of people overcame with emotion.

Love the sarcasm in Get Big. Troy never claimed to be natural. Let me just say that his AAS usage was on the minimal "you gotta be kidding…then why use it at all?" level. No insulin and no HGH. Shit I used 3 times the dosage but was delt geek genes and showed little for the regimen.

Troys list of who he beat when dialed in is impressive.

None the less, not a kinder more humble man in our sport and I have been in it for some 60 years.

Didn't know he retired until I opened this thread. At the same time I just so happen to catch the CNN scroll that announced his retirement.

Best physique to ever grace a bodybuilding stage. Much better than shapeless bodybuilders with distended stomachs like Ronnie, Kai or Branch. His photos will always be a source of inspiration to me. Good luck Troy

He has aids and or his system shut down

Why would he stop dancing for gay old men at such a tender age?

I thought he already was retired, seeing how he never came within sniffing distance of having a career in the first place.
