anyone do calithenics for a long time like 6 months and get cut on them?
-
Yes. Didn't even take 6 months. Ask anyone who's been to boot camp ;D
-
to get cut?
-
Uh yeah. We all were shredded as hell by time we graduated boot
-
yeah well running and obstacle courses got old but I rather to outside stuff than the gym. Remember though to that the military doesn't work you for looks, its functional strength. Sure most had 17"arm but we could run with gear for 20 miles, climb shit all day, carry and lift each other and do a shit load of pull ups and push ups. Strong? Yes. Shredded? Yes. Bodybuilding thickness? No.

I find I get sore.
I also get weird liek leg back of leg muscle and calf muscle lockups.
hurt
-
Not far. In a complete and total untrained state - several years without lifting or exercising - I could do 60 pushups non-stop then get bored.

Wilf Sylvester the light weight Universe winner on the right used only body weight squats for this contest with leg extensions/curls.
I never understood why bodybuilders put down body weight exercises. How many MMA, military, wrestlers, and boxers have just used body weight exercises in training? Body weight exercise athletes are never at a disadvantage.
I think bodybuilders and bodybuilding fans develop a warped mind set of what constitute a good physique when looking at real athletes.
