http://www.t-nation.com/training/does-lifting-boost-testosterone
Interesting article, despite the somewhat sketchy source. The broscience was that if you did the "big three" you "stimulated" your overall growth. At least in the case of increased serum T, that ain't the case. Maybe its still true from a CNS POV.
Helps Galeniko's point in a previous thread about asking "what's the point" of the big 3.

It all bullshit, I mean it's ridiculously beyond a joke, this whole notion that you can somehow increase your natural test or gh levels by doing the "big 3" to make any difference whatsover is serious retardation at the highest level.
I mean for fuck's sake if I was injecting 4-7 IU of script GH and not seeing results, what makes these fucking guru's think a training protocol can somehow elicit a more favorable response???

These lifts are stupid :D

Bull.
Boost test.

Exercise is stupid. All you really need to get massive and ripped is a shovel.

Fuck studies I know my test is boosted after a session incorporating the big three.
-
If it does at all it's barely anything. I did all of those hard lifts for years in highschool and college. I didn't start putting size on until I injected my first time.
-
It does boost gh/test, but it's not a large increase and its too transitory to yield muscle gains
-
Didn't read the article but what's the betting it was written by someone who is just a little bit lazy and doesn't like pain.
Me personally, you ain't training legs unless you're squatting. When done properly, if they don't raise test levels then nothing will.

;D That's what I heard too.

Love the dudes at the gym who are eternally stuck in the big three and swear one day they'll be as big as the drugster passing by on swole pole mode.
I was one of those idiots, and thank god I was too weak to handle some of the weight others pushed.
On the other hand if someone stuck with a 135 barbell and was consistent for about 2 years I think they would get a good physique sans unnecessary wear and tear.

Well it makes sense that compound lifts release the most gh since they utilize the several big muscle groups simultaneously. The question is, wouldn't that big natural gh release and test boost be used up in order to "repair" and "grow" the utilized muscle groups?
