Glory holes of Yorkshire leaving bigmac with a bad taste in his mouth.

most new wheys taste good.  The muscletech phase 8 is awesome, no after taste but I hate artifical sweetners though.  they're the devil.

Musclepharm Combat Powder in Cookies n Cream flavor. Delicious! Normally I wouldn't have bought it, but Costco had it on the cheap, so I took a gamble. Mixes great and actually tastes like cookies and cream ice cream.

The best was old school metrx with heavy cream.  That was thick as a ice cream shop milk shake and had about 2500 calories.  That's when I actually believed that I would grow from it and didn't realize the importance of steroids.

I don't use protein powder like many others. If I'm in a rush and can't make breakfast or something, I'll use it. That's about it. I am a "real food" guy. It mixes nice and tastes good too. Not loaded with carbs either. I like it.

I am tired of worthless supplements. I have tried pretty much everything and they are all bunk. I would rather eat food, but the notion of choking down a chicken breast in the morning when I have 5 minutes to get out the door is far less appealing than chugging a protein (fart) shake.

Like Isopure (expensive), and ON's "gold standard". Right now, I am trying to get through a few bags of EAS shit I got at Costco.

Beverly International for best quality.

Team Skip Cinnamon Bun or Cookie Dough for taste.  And the quality of this is very good as well.  No bloating or gas.

Or you may want to take a break from powders all together for a couple of months and just use EAAs and BCAAS in it's place.  This was recommended to me a couple years ago and I gave up on protein powder all together.

Since I started dieting harder I folded and bought a tub of protein. Just a Costco brand one and it was actually good. They were on sale for $30 so I grabbed a few 5lb tubs.

Doesn't give me the shits, doesn't taste too bad and the price was definitely right. Up here it's a fucking $100 for a 5lb tub of the bigger name brand stuff and they all taste like garbage. I'd rather get a couple vials of tren for that price!

Any good isolate that tastes good.

Species Isolyze ( I know everyone is gonna hate that lol ) but it really is good.

Isopure is always a good quality isolate, and I have yet to try gaspari's isofusion but heard its pretty good.

X2..USE IT CHOCOLATE GOOD..

Totally forgot about this one. I have been meaning to try it once I run out of Species Isolyze.

I did remember a friend mentioned he switched to that after using less protein powder in general. Its worth getting an isolate if you dont use that much. I rely on it in the morning and after workouts. So 4 workouts a week and 6-7 of the breakfasts for the week.

Otherwise, when I was younger and had time to train and eat and do nothing while at college the 5lbs jugs were a lifesaver :)

all of the above bro. Im not exaggerating. I feel it way more than my multi, and I've invested a good deal of money on finding a well crafted multi.

It's good to hear some experiences from the field, thanks.
I see they sell Garden of life products here in Europe as well, but not their powders.
I can get my hands on Total Nutri-Greens (http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/total-nutri-greens/10813519.html), which seems a pretty good blend, but what to look for/how to compare those superfood powders?
Title: Re: decent tasting protein powder

just use unflavoured whey (eg my protein even if their service has gone to shit in recent years)
try some cider vinigar for the flatulence - unless you intend to disperse it on this board

I'm a big consumer of their pure whey and other proteins as well. Mixing 2 scoops with a half cup of oats and a scoop of cacao powder with water tastes good. I always take 2 scoops of flax seed oil before (just DON'T mix it, lol)

A few things to look for:

1) minimal sugar content
2) no artificial sweeteners (stevia is ok)
3) a COMPREHENSIVE blend of plant, fruit, andveggie sources (you'll see the better brands have a lot more "good stuff" in em, also a lot more expensive to produce but there's a reason why they include them
4) mostly from organic sources
5) no soy derivatives
6) reasonably priced according to typical wholesale costs. Usually less than $1 per serving. There's a plethora of shitty brands selling for $0.50 per serving or less that are full of horseshit. Defeats the purpose of even using a superfood product
