Title: The cheapest property in London is $165,000
Post by: Boost on January 25, 2014, 12:01:11 PM
No, I'm not joking. Only seven properties across London are being advertised for less than £100k ($165k)

$165,000 will buy you a very small single bedroom apartment in a poor, rundown area.

The majority of Britain looks like this. It's rotten to the core.

So the native population has to pay to house them, pay for their healthcare, pay (to attempt) to educate their millions of kids, pay for more police, and be victimized by skyrocketing rapes, thefts, assaults and murders.

On the other hand, a select few of them (like our illegal Mexicans) do pay a miniscule amount of taxes back into the system?

Sounds legit

Abusing gypsies? lol

Was nothing of that sort. Swedish police made a file registry with gypsie people because they are a group high in crime statistics. PC people got worked up over this.

Anways... I don't know why they let in hundreds of thousands of arabs and blacks every year. Beats me... Pure political correctness? EU jewish agenda? many theories...

Okay, I didn't mean that. I just meant why are they making a database of gypsies but (from what I've read) they let the Muslims get away with anything?

Toronto housing is just as bad. My parents live in a home worth 1.4 million. Nothing special at all. 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom. Smaller kitchen. Big property though. They paid 250k for it in 1982 when it was being built. I keep expecting this property bubble to burst. Especially since mortgage rates have been low since 2008.

can I form a company/corporation in Thailand as an ex-pat/foreigner?

can I have the company buy the property?

Yes, you can buy property, no you can not own property.

Yes, you can form a company but can not own more than 49% of it. (I'm not 100% sure)

Yes, the company can buy property.

Best have a read of this, it will answer your questions a lot better than I could...

Glad I got out. Two weeks ago  :D

My estate agent mate rented my place out. He had 170 emails within two hours and he reckons as many phone calls. People offering took take it at double the price without even viewing it. He knows the score. No blacks, Arabs or Asians. It went to someone working in the Austrian embassy. Won't have any issues with filth not paying or fucking up your place.

There were many final straws but a new building going up 2min from my house where half the places went to council scum were THE final straw. You work and study hard, save your money, live responsibly gong without luxuries to be able to buy a place in an exclusive area to get away from human trash, and now they're coming to you for free. Nowhere in London can you live away from scum anymore.

Now I'm back with my parents :D in north Oxford before the big move far far away

x2
That money will get you a halfway decent 3 bed semi up here in the north east.
Id rather sleep in the local underpass than live in any of those london shitholes.

So is there some kind of property bubble, or is that the true value?

Why someone would want to live in a place like London, or NYC is beyond me.

Its london prices, there are 2 bed flats in half decent areas of london going for almost 1 million. You can buy a mansion or even a sizeable house in darras hall up here for that prices.

Off course it's a bubble. My house IS NOT worth the 2.7k a month I'm renting it out for. And it's by FAR the cheapest to rent in WH. Feel free to jump on Rightmove and check 3 bed house prices in WH. And as I said in another post, I've had people offer my estate agent twice the price just to secure it. It's crazy. Another UK based forum I post on guys' says the same thing. You pretty much have to ring the agent and straightaway say 'I take it, I take it!!. I'll do anything to get it. Anything!' Viewing is almost becoming a thing of the past. You now buy your tenancy over the phone. Want a viewing? Tough, the gentleman I'm speaking to on the other phone is taking it right now and the 50 emails in front of me says the same thing. Oh wait, it's 60 emails now.

And this is the sought-after areas in London. I can't imagine what goes on when trying to rent in the cheaper areas.
