Title: Godfather: A Novel For Television
Post by: Irongrip400 on January 26, 2014, 06:00:42 PM
Anyone know where I can pick up a copy? I've only seen it in this format once or twice, where it is pieced together chronologically. They start it off with the Robert Deniro scenes from the second one, and then go from there. It's a pretty cool format, but I've not seen it since. Any of you seen it?

I checked and didn't see it. It came up in the google search, but when I went to Amazon, it was just the regular DVD.

Search Ebay "The Godfather Epic."

Laserdisc, VHS, has never been released on DVD.

The trilogy has been on AMC repeatedly all weekend, and I keep watching (except III, which is a turd). Still can't decide which of the two I like best.

He is talking about a special cut of the trilogy.  They put together a cut once for TV that had all all three cut together as a very long single motion picture, with the action in chronological order from the 1900's to 1980.  Coppola hated it, but he had it done to raise money for "Apocalypse Now."  The only way to get this cut is to find on old VHS or Laserdisc.  Coppola will never release it on DVD, he disliked it so much.

Yeah, I've seen that version, I was just commenting on the originals.

Someone is mistaken. The one I'm talking about originally aired in 1977, and was just the parts 1 & 2.

I'm talking about one and two, read my above post. Seriously though, I have no idea how to even post a pic on getbig, let alone edit a fucking movie. Like I said, I'll pay someone.

Yes, pretty sure. It says I can't get it without signing up and making an account. Is this site safe, I've never heard of it?
