Well, you choose to participate in an activity where your head is constantly punched, and what can you expect?

He was taken off life support earlier, his wife claimed it was his own wishes if ever in this situation and as a result he has passed.  Great potential, will be far more missed than FSH yet will not get near the recognition.

These clips make boxing looking pretty barbaric. Just sayin'.

Boxing is a shitty sport ,  but for some kids it is the only way to get out of poverty .

Mexican culture in boxing.

Add Brandon Rios and Angulo to your shot list of Lost Brain Cells.

Lack of athleticism so they have developed a culture of taking incredible amounts of punishments because they have better chins. Fucking insane!

If you don't believe it,  just listen to those fools in Oxnard.

This is why I never begrudge athletes for trying to nickel and dime every ounce of cash out of their contracts. Nasty stuff, getting beaten to death, getting punched in the head isn't a treat either -

Apparently they wanted to use Queen's Another One Bites the Dust for III but Queen said no so they went with Eye of the Tiger instead.

Speaking of Queen, I heard that Queen Vissy was originally casted to play the role of Drago which drove Vincent Goodrum insanely jealous. To save the marriage, Vissy declined the role and is still waiting for his big break.

Yup, that's why I won't put a step on a ring, even for $ 1 billion. (Yes, full homo).

This is very sad, but it definitely is a potential hazard in the sport of boxing.

I remember that as a young man when I used to box recreationally, there were many times where I had gotten knocked out cold and upon being woken up with ammonia inhalants, I would think that this shit can not be sustained for too long, especially as a professional boxer. You can train and build various parts of your body to take serious strikes, but the head doesn't have exercises to reduce the impact of blows.

The type of head trauma experienced by these guys is the perfect ingredient in a recipe that would lead to severe brain damage and/or even Parkinson's disease.

For those that take part in boxing in the amateur circuits, be careful guys.

sorry to see this , but this kind of scene always reminds me of the jean claude van damme movie where his brother is destroyed in the ring by cum po and they carry him out and put him by the curve like yesterday's garbage.

When I fought, headgear was mandatory at the silver gloves, golden gloves, and olympic level. I believe it still is.

Perhaps my team mates and I were lucky not to have gotten hurt. Travelling to reservations to fight in ND and Montans was about as hostile as it got for us; even moreso than state and regionals IMO. Golden Gloves Boxing was by far the best team sport I have ever participated in.
