Title: Ken Brown?

Who was this guy? I saw his picture on the wall at the gym today for winning the USA in the late-90s. What happened to him? Looks kinda like branch warren or tom prince face wise.

Won the USA did one/two pro shows then quit.

I think he worked as a welder one interview said?

he won the 97 USA.  from the reports, he was a nobody, despite winning the junior nationals a few weeks before.  basically, the report said that others would pegged to win, prince, downing, palumbo, etc. and that brown showed up in shape and won the show.  but that's bbing for you.  so in other words, it meant that he wouldnt do well as a pro and he didnt.


about a year ago, i met some guy from PA who was good friends with Ken.  He said that Ken was shocked to see how much gear the pros use and that Ken was not going to do what was "necessary to win".  who knows and who cares.

Ken's a good dude.  Met him at an autograph signing one time.
