Not gonna watch the video but it just comes down to traditional values. I respect Russia and their opinions even if I don't agree with them.

I thought they juzt wanted equlity? Why is it that many of them demand that the world approve of their lifestyle? If they were comfortable they wouldnt give a shit if anyone approved.
I agree that they should have the same rights but sit down and STFU already, no one has to approve of your sexual preference.

Yeah, other than a few isolated incidents of violence they are treated very well. Gays make more money and go on more vacations than the rest of us, look it up. It's not like they are treated poorly like Wiggs' Hebrew ancestors pre 1960.

the few gays I knew werent happy with equality. They wanted EVERYONe to support them/approve of their lifestyle and would harass/demonize anyone who dared disagree with them and acrually speak their mind.
one of them went so far as to tell me that they needed to start protecting gays from hate speech, that others shouldnt be able to criticize them for being gay. I asked him about freedom of speech and he said thats bullshit no one has the right to judge him based on being gay.
needless to say I dont talk to him anymore, and he tried to tell people it was because I didnt like homos.

Although the law in question was extremely bold move. Not because of domestic politics; majority seem to support this move in Russia. But because of international politics; I don't think there have been a single tool like this to beat Russia with since the invasion of Afghanistan in the 1979. Certain governments are really milking this out. Can't blame them though. It's politics. But I wonder if it's worth this all for Russia. Guess it is. They want to profile as a counter-force to the liberal politics triumphing over the world for the past decades. It seems to be part of the long time plan to reinvent Russia.

The gay parades in NYC for Halloween feature guys shaking their naked junk in front of viewers. Russia is civilized enough not to want that in their country for kids to view. Most people would say: sure we should all be equal in the eyes of the law. But that is not enough for the gay and lesbian community.
For example: under the law they can have a "legal union", but they won't stop unless the church sanctions "marriage" for them.
also, they won't stop unless every TV program has a flag waving openly gay character, even children program.
currently in America if you are not pro gay agenda then they label you as being anti.
