problem with golf is that there aren't any bitches playing.  Just you spending hours with a bunch of other dudes.

A. you play to get away from the bitches for 5 hrs
b. most courses usually have hot chicks driving around in carts selling booze!

Love the game, love watching it, love playing it. Used to play one or twice per week now I'm lucky if I could get to a driving range,

A couple of weeks ago I was watching an even and they were tracking Brant Snedeker's paces, distance and calories burned. I believe it was somewhere through 13-14 he had walked a little over six miles and burned about 2200 calories. I'm sure they were doing that with everyone on the leader board. But I found this interesting. I didn't catch the final calorie numbers but it had to be somewhere around 2800k by the time it was over.

If they made every pro use the same kind of high spinning balata ball that most used 20 years ago, they wouldn't have to lengthen the golf courses to outrages distances. The reason guys 20 years ago weren't averaging 300 yard drives was because they had to lay off a little because the ball spun too much. Today's golf ball goes basically straight no matter how hard you swing. It's the golf ball that wrecked the numbers in golf. And it's such a simple fix to bring back the game.

I'm sure booze was involved.

Anyway the 2013 RocketBladez by Taylor Made got stellar reviews, including those I got from real people.  They're not expensive, and I could use an upgrade.

Softball and coaching baseball have left me zero time for golf.  But work might start a league so there's hope.

My cuz has them and loves them...he had Callaway Razors but the ball moved to much...big draw...the Taylors go a lot straighter.

These days, I get out maybe once a Summer, and usually a best-ball benefit so I work on my beer cart game and stick handle the fairways.

That's been my experience too, coupled with one winter round at an offsite.    Hoping for 10 rounds this  year.   Used to play 30 when I was younger.

A bunch of my family {Dad,Uncles, cousins"} do a best ball charity event every year...for us a little less mature family members it's a blast.
drink up,fillup, a keg at the ninth hole and a vodka hole, then dinner and drinks after ;D

Nice.  I've been waiting for the price to drop a bit more since they'll be last year's model.

Translation: The police were called when a madman in a scuba suit was sighted at the water hazzard on the 14th, yelling incoherently about a lost and found.

In unrelated news, a hyperagressive species of woodpecker, favoring golf courses, is suspected of pecking trees nearly in half.  Although not yet sighted, the bird's odd mating call sounds almost exactly like a berzerker.

I don't really play so much any more.  :-\

I will play golf in 60-70 degree weather.......or early evening.....when it cools down.......I am good for nine holes.....that is plenty.

Maybe play 5 times a year. I do enjoy watching it on the tube.

2 life changing moments in golf for me...

1.Being all pissed off on the course one time and my dad all straight faced turns to me and said "Why get mad, you're not good enough to get mad} >:( >:( >:( ;D
son of a bitch!

2.when I first started playing and would be pissed I would throw clubs once in awhile...well I hit a bad t-shot and threw my wood and it almost got caught in a tree.
then when thinking about it,,,imagine how embarrassed I would have been if I had to climb a tree to get my club back :-\

Too much loft. I'd suggest a 3-iron.

Both wrong...more loft=equals heavier=more damage

...I suggest a sand or lob wedge for maximum damage :)

I only want to use it to press my emergency police buzzer that's on the wall near my bed. I'd love to go downstairs and confront the perps but I have no legs anymore, but always look on the bright side of life at least I don't have any fancy shoes they can still, so it's a blessing in disguise really
