The current company has nothing to do with the original owners and makers of the car. They were cool cars with the stainless steel body. The problem is finding one with a flux capacitor in working condition. Seriously cool car.

I'm talking close to mint condition with very low miles. Not a clunker with 150K that is trashed. For 5K you can't even get a used Camry in good condition with 100K miles. Very few Deloreans were made. In mint it is a collectors car. Go on the internet and look at auction prices of ones with under 10K miles. I stand by my price listed.

they had a guy trying to sell a Delorean(sp?) on pawn stars and they mentioned that the original engine is total shit. But if you are a scifi-fan then get it for that reason

Too many were made therefore it will never be really exclusive or valuable. And the name or brand has no value. Quality was poor, but that's problem for a high price, look at old Italian stuff...so it's only for the movie stardom part this car gets so much attention. And the gull wind doors. Looks kinda cool, but irl will loads of headaches ;D
