Something related to our son.

Kids club is closed, or hes sick, or he hurt himself at the kids club.... or he has an apt.... always him.

work interference comes second. Especially with all the international travel I have coming up. :-\

What do you use for pre-workout?

the original Jackd3D stuff... the old stuff, not the 'advanced' or the 'new' formula.... the original.

used 1MR for a while too... or Dark Rage from MHP

can't find a decent one now... thinking about going back to using 'ole Ephederine Sulphate and caffine, but ephed kills my appetite and fucks with my sleep and dont' feel like going to use pills to sleep again.  :-\

For me, it's usually the I'll take a quick nap before the gym. I either wake up feeling more tired and go back to sleep or don't wake up at all.

I didn't even notice the spelling difference. I just double click words and it gives me the definition. I knew what that meant, but wanted to see if it would give me a definition, it did.

I tried sibutramine while dieting and noticed it is extremely effective at improving workout performance. It affects nor-epinephrine so it is at least as dangerous as DMAA though.

You can't just skip the gym, or else you will want to make it a habit. If I'm too sore or not recovered, I won't go, but that's not "skipping" it.

Post by: nasum on February 18, 2014, 05:55:50 AM
I used to skip workouts because I was working late or because of injuries or CNS blow-out.

But recently I've started working out smarter, staggering my heaviest sets and drilling form on compound lifts to avoid injury. My injuries have virtually disappeared despite some fairly brutal sets (220kg x 10 DL last week). Learning how to properly brace my core with proper abdominal breathing and tension has helped immensely with deadlift-induced lower back soreness.

I've also started going the gym before work so working late is no longer an excuse for me.

The only nagging problem I have left is some slight rotator cuff tenderness, which has nagged me for years because of ego-wanking my bench press sets as a skinny youngster.

Face-pulls are meant to offset some of the bench press-induced stress on the rotator cuff muscles by strengthening the antagonistic muscles that form the rotator cuff (most soreness is caused by excessive load on two of the four muscles that make up the cuff ultimately leading to impingement and tendonitis).

Or so I'm led to believe, seems to be working regardless.

Ditto,

I have to be at my desk by 8am and usually leave around 6/7pm knackered

That's why I only stay in good shape for a about 4 months a year or so when I can focus and blast it all, but couldnt maintain it all year round.

What does this athlete do during the breaks?

The afforementioned athlete stops and drinks out of his large red water bottle, allowing the oniony smell of sweat from the huge stains under his arms to waft through the entire gym, while he places one leg on the bench like Washington crossing the Delaware, and slaps his sweat soaked towel down hard to drive through the point: "I'm running this joint".

The most common reason I skip a workout is usually because when I get home from work and take my pre work out it makes me have to take a dump, then while I'm on the pot I start fucking around on my phone and usually end up on here or twitter and run across some sorta porn. Well y'all know me, then of course I have to crack on off and by that point the wife is home and I eat dinner.

BTW jerking your deal when you've got a nice Jack3d itch going is the best.

i think many consistent weight lifters would be further developed if they skipped more work outs.  I notice when my strength goes up it's often after i've rested a muscle longer than usual

x2. You can make/maintain great gains by working out only 3 times per week (especially if natural)

You just have to make sure the diet is on point. The diet is the most important part.

why would you ever skip a work out unless you are hurt, sick or on vacation.

x2. Proper form, and isolation to failure on each individual muscle group is key.

Again, you will not see amazing results without a strict diet. Even 160 pound guys can look great.

It's not how much you can lift, its how much you look like you can lift.
